Very good food, great selection and very clean facility. Service was amazing and server was fast, funny and very customer service oriented.Dark hair, tall young girl. Sorry I forgot her name. Inside was nice and cold and outside dining was nice but we went on a record heat day.

Great place for a typical Marina type restaurant. We didn't order drinks but really enjoyed their hamburger steak with a fried egg, cheese sticks, and chicken fingers with fries. It is a perfect place for a weekend lunch on the water!

Food was drab. No real taste place seemed dirtier than I prefer. Went once, probably won't return unless it's just for drinks or appetizers.

Grey Heron Griĺl is a part of Pebble Isle Marina and is nestled in a large cove over a half mile off of the Tennessee river. It's surrounded by water, hills and trees, on the edge of Johnsonvile State Forest, which makes it quite a pleasant area whether by land or by water. It's a very cool place for breakfast, lunch or dinner either inside with the air conditioning on those super hot days or outside on the deck for the lazy days of summer where some spectacular sunsets happen. The owners and managers foster an environment and commitment to excellence with a real family atmosphere. They fully utilize their food island with a good salad bar and for breakfast it's filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, biscuits and gravy and fruit and more. The menu has a good selection of Americana from Philly cheesesteaks to boiled crabs that are seasoned and spiced just right. The burgers are good but there's a lot of both for their fried catfish as well as their "slap your momma" chicken, and I do approve of that fried chicken. The food is really good with big portions and the servers are pleasant and warm just do an all around great job.Another one of my favorites is their grilled prime ribeye and baked potato and when coupled with the salad bar it usually leaves me wanting a nap around sunset. On my most recent visit, and while having that ribeye, our waitress brought out a loaf of hot bread and some homemade strawberry butter. It was the bomb!! We later asked her how the butter was made and she smiled and gladly explained, in detail, exactly how it was made. She also cheerfully added "I am the one that makes it". Like I said, friendly and warm with a family atmosphere regardless of the crowd, weather or circumstance it's a nice place to eat & relax. If you are traveling by boat just punch the coordinates into the GPS and slowly motor in (it's a 1/2 mile winding no wake buoyed entry to get back into the larger cove) and get ready for some of the best viddles in these parts by sea or by land. Ahoy! *** check out my review of Pebble Isle Marina

Just left the grill now 18 minutes ago. After being told by the host that they were short staffed we said we understood and waited kindly and patiently. After all our daughters are servers and we know the pressures of the job. However the server passed us & served a couple that had been seated after us. We had only waited 20 minutes. No one including the host even offered us water. My husband asked for the attention of the server helping the couple next to us and she basically looked at him and laughed while walking away saying something unintelligible. Then as another server made eye contact with me twice knowing I was trying to get her attention, she ignored me and walked away. So we got up and left the table and are headed to Camden to El Vallarta where we have always had excellent service. What's another 18 minutes to drive after having driven 2 1/2 hrs from Lebanon, TN?The service and manner of the staff was inexcusable and unprofessional. We'll never return. Absolutely disgusted.

The fish was delicious, atmosphere was amazing, staff was nice enough but we sat outside and although we received our drinks within a few minutes of our arrival, we were forgotten shortly after. No one came outside again to check in on us and food took 45 minutes! When we came inside it was almost like a surprise we were still there. The menu is not up to date either. Only one steak item and we went there specifically for the ribeye... we won't be revisiting this restaurant. Hopefully this was just an off day...
