Grecian Family Restaurant

The Grecian Family Restaurant is a staple in Lexington, TN. Don't let the name fool you this is not Mediterranean cuisine, however the gyro is solid and tasty. This would qualify as your typical southern charm family restaurant, that my family has been coming to for decades, and was my first visit since I was a teenager. The atmosphere at the Grecian is friendly, clean, and spacious. Our server was young, friendly, and learned it was easier to put down pitchers of water and tea rather than try refills, which is always appreciated. There is plenty of seating for small and large parties (we were a family of 10). The menu is pretty eclectic from Italian entrees, catfish, steak, chicken, and the aforementioned gyro (all of which was ordered). The staple at the Grecian is their fresh salad bar, which I might come in just for that. Most entrees have it included but you can get it on its own as well. Generous in its offerings the 1000 Island was outstanding. The food was not bland (steak was tasty but not noteworthy) and generous in portion. It won't win any awards but it didn't leave anyone hungry at the end either. At the End of the Day this is exactly what you would expect and it doesn't disappoint. There is not a wow element to the Grecian and maybe it isn't supposed to have one. In small towns like this maybe it's just nice to have something dependable and good to eat!?!

Food is bland and overpriced . Our server was really sweet but old lady at checkout register is extremely rude and ignorant

We recently went for Sunday lunch. The buffet selections were plentiful and 'Mr.J' stated everything tasted good. I ordered catfish off the menu and it was cooked well . The staff was charming. The place was packed, as church had just ended.

Prime candidate for Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares. Yikes! The Grecian is not Greek. Not even close. It's really really bad southern food. The seafood buffet is terrible and it's all heat and serve crap. That's right. This restaurant manages to mess up heat and serve fried food. That almost takes skill. Most odd the items on the buffet were cold. I'm surprised someone has contracted something here. I know Lexington has very few dining options, but it's baffling to me that the Grecian stays open.

Service is friendly and food is great!! I recommend the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. Really good!!

Ate here for the first time, but the staff kept on staring at me and my family like they had a problem.

I ate there for the first time on Friday. I ordered the Lasagna. It was a very generous portion - I took half of it home. Our server, LaShaun,was nice and did a good job! I will eat there again!

Yummy food... always friendly service love their fries and burgers.............................

This place is so dirty and over priced. The salad bar was dirty and had more bad lettuce than good. Save your money and eat anywhere else, literally anywhere else.
