Top 3 favorite places in Memphis to eat. It's in a great area, the people are so sweet, and the food is amazing! My friend and I go there at least once a month for about 2 years now and they absolutely love my son and treat us like family. My ONLY complaint is that I think I get less food in a to go order than I would if I ordered and ate it there. But I've only gotten it once to go so maybe it was just a one time experience.

Spice is life. Great intimate dining. You can choose your spice level. The flavors seem to do a little dance on your taste buds. There's great options available for many preferences. The vegetable samosas (not pictured) are lovely. The chutney has a nice sweet tangy flavor, while the green cilantro chutney is very spicy. It's conveniently located near many other restaurants and some shopping in Overton Square.

I've eaten here twice and am about to order after I finish this review. The food is good. The food is an experience. It's a home cooked meal. The medium spice Merg Makhani! Baby! It's fulfilling, tasty. Everything I could ask for from an Indian meal. The service is great. The staff is very kind and sweet. The atmosphere is relaxing and elegant. I highly recommend dining here if you're looking for a great meal!

The Chicken Coconut Korma is unique to Golden India and is the best dish I've ever had. I absolutely love this place, they're excellent about being true to their spice level. Do yourself a favor and order the Peshwari Naan, it's truly exceptional. OS are the other naan options, but that one is addictive. And again, I can't say enough good things about the Chicken Coconut Korma, it's so creamy and flavorful because of the cashew and coconut. The chicken is ultra flavorful and tender and their rice is seasoned with cumin and goes with it perfectly.I've also had their Aloo Gobhi, which is also delicious. The only thing I would skip is dessert because I recommend getting more of the Chicken Coconut Korma or Peshwari Naan instead. The desserts are okay, but not in the ballpark of those two. I've tried the Gulab Jamun and Pista Kulfi and wouldn't order either again, but I also don't really love super sweet flavors.Mango Lassi is good! They don't always have the coffee, I think, but it's good. The Kachumber Salad is good but a little weird and a lot spicy, it sneaks up on you.Overall, just go. It's so good and quiet and delicious, and their takeout is always perfect. I've picked up and ordered via apps, definitely try to call in to order and pickup or eat in, but you really can't go wrong.

We still love this place more than ever! For those new to Indian food, I recommend the assorted snacks, korma (more of a creamy based sauce), tikka masala (tomato based sauce), naan, and papadum. Update on alcohol beverages is that wine is BYOB.

Truly believe this is is the best Indian in Memphis. Everything I have gotten here has been excellent. The tikka masala medium spice is my favorite, not too terribly spicy but creamy and flavorful with a little kick. The sides are awesome. And they do a great job with delivery/take our through other vendors like Uber eats or door dash. It has always been tasty. The basmati (?) rice is a great compliment to the dishes.

Food is always great. Their spicy dishes are better than their mild ones so keep that in mind. Their naan is authentic, rather than garlic bread knockoffs you will find at other joints. I will say their desserts are underwhelming so maybe steer clear of those. They do take a while to make your food (cooked to order I guess?) but I promise it is worth it. This is yet another business I feel that gets nitpicked based on lack of timeliness but if you're not in a rush...why not enjoy the restaurant ambience? Great Indian food place, this and Curry Bowl are the two best Indian places in Memphis.
