Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

I recently met friends here for the buffet. Please note this was the first Golden Corral I have ever visited anywhere. Having read the previous reviews which did not recommend this establishment, I did expect much. However I was really pleased with the quality of the food at the buffet. Everything I tasted was fresh and delicious. There was an amazing variety to choose from. In addition, the restaurant presents like a brand new facility, clean and pristine. I really enjoyed it. In fact my wife and I are going back today. I will update this review later.

Where do I start? Oh, I know, the food is garbage. But, for real... garbage.Here's the deal. They trap you. The food is far enough away from the entrance that you can't really see it. All I could see was the chocolate fondue fountain. That looked amazing! More on that in a moment. I started off with a burger(?). It was more of a slider, I guess. I put bacon on it, because bacon. Then I grabbed some broccoli with cheese (can't mess up broccoli and cheese, right?). I got a piece of catfish, a couple fried ravioli, some fake crab salad stuff, and a bowl of chicken and dumplings. Yum, right!? Wrong! No! The first bite of the burger was rough. The bread was so hard I could barely get my teeth through. I just ate the bacon. Broccoli and cheese was next. That has to be good. Nope. Garbage. It was cold. Like ice cold. Okay, so the catfish must be good. Wrong again. It was mushy. Catfish shouldn't be mushy. Fried ravioli was just okay, fake crab stuff was decent. Chicken and dumplings were quit your job and move as far away as possible disgusting. Decided I'd hit up dessert to make up for the $11 I felt like I'd lost on lunch. I got banana pudding, pecan pie, and this chocolate muffin thing with icing on top. I was going to hit up that fancy chocolate fountain, but it turns out they were out of strawberries. So it was basically just decorative. The pecan pie was literally out of a box and they didn't even try to hide it. So it was better than expected. The banana pudding was spot on. I actually really like it. The muffin thing was so gross I don't even know what to say. The icing had sat there so long that it had hardened. Like rock candy hard. I couldn't eat it.So, in summation, eat at Ed's Catfish. The end.

The new, big "go to" place for breakfast was an utter disappointment. The food bar was unkempt. There was NO regular (w/o sausage or chipped beef) gravy. I asked three servers over nearly 15 minutes before some was brought out. However, there were no biscuits. None. For the 30 minutes I was there ... Who serves breakfast in the South on a Sunday morning w/o biscuits! The food I did manage to snatch was very bland, dried out and pretty much the worst I have had in Jonesboro. I wouldn't go back to Golden Corral if they offered me a free buffet!

Today was my first (and last) visit. The service was bad. We waited forever on drinks and never received silverware. We had to flag down another server to get some. Food was not good. The best thing we ate was the salad and meatloaf, oddly enough and they were just average. The stuffing was disgusting. Steak was about 80% fat, and 20% lean. Very disappointing.

We stopped here because we love Golden Corral, and this location is very new. Well we waited in line for 35 minutes!! When we finally found a place to sit, I'd say 85% percent of everything we wanted was empty !!! I was extremely pissed, I told my husband let's go get our money back and leave, but the line was all the way out into the parking lot !! And we didn't want the hassle. So we took turns waiting and waiting for food to be replenished. What a joke. This was by far the worst Golden Corral we have EVER been too !! Never ever again !!!

There is not enough food variety and the food does not taste good. My sister found paper in her brownie! I recommend not ever coming here unless you want there ice cream or to dip something in the chocolate fountain.

Food was good but the person at the register Adham was extremely rude. Telling me and my freind to F off and using fowl language. Very rude worker. Should be fired

We got a to go order. We ordered a Cobb salad for $10 and they didn't add the ham or the blue cheese which made for a pitiful main dish salad. I paid $1 extra for bacon bits which they did add. We ordered a dozen rolls with honey butter and they gave us zero butter even though I specifically asked for it. The main reason we ordered from here was specifically to get the rolls with honey butter. Nobody ate the dry rolls so they all went to waste. We ordered the meatloaf meal for $10 and the meatloaf portion was laughable and the mashed potatoes tasted like fish. They also didn't give us our chocolate chip cookies. I added pics of what they advertise versus what you actually get. This was such a disappointing waste of money.

I will never step foot in here again! the place lacked cleanliness and they barely had any food available on the Buffet. The servers were not kind and they started cleaning up and removing food from the buffet an hour before close... when people were still eating. Not only that... But the food was horrible and the staff was rude. our waitress quite literally vacuumed under our feet while we were eating
