Golden City

Came here for the first time and it let us know what we were missing since moving here. We came just a little after lunch on a Sunday so it wasn't too busy. Walked in and was seated right away. Since it was our first time, they gave us a bit to look over the menu. We seen on yelp that they had chow fun which is why we came in the first place. We ordered the beef chow fun, hunan chicken, and shrimp egg foo young. Chow fun tasted exactly how it would back from where we moved from. Very flavorful and noodles cooked to perfection. Beef was tender and not chewy as some places had. I've never eaten hunan til we moved here so I can't compare that, however it was good. Great flavors, veggies cooked well, however the meat to veggie ratio was off. I like how the egg foo young came out in separate pieces rather than one whole piece so we were able to get our own without cutting into it. Crunch on the outside and perfect cook in the inside. The gravy was also good and flavorful. My husband asked for their chili sauce and he was excited since it was just like the homemade ones he would get before we moved. Definitely coming back and glad it's not too far for me.

Updating my review from three years ago, and I'm happy to say Golden City is as good as ever. We recently went for our family Sunday brunch and ordered a variety of dishes. The Peking duck was a standout favorite, along with the ribs and beef chow fun noodles. We enjoy eating family style, and the service was welcoming and friendly as always. We also tried one of their sizzling plates, which came out perfectly sizzling and was a hit with everyone. Whether you dine in or order to go, Golden City won't disappoint!

I went here to celebrate a birthday celebration with a big group of people. The workers were quick to bring the food out, but the flavor profile was missing. The best dish was the stir fried shrimp. Green beans could be seasoned more,.. as with the fried rice, egg drop soup, and the lo mein. The stir fried beef wasn't too bad. For some reason, some tables had different dishes. I would give them another chance as this place seems pretty popular and can be busy.

Are you stillWe came in after a baseball game and ordered our food. Both dishes were okay. They were not busy at all and it was a slow time of the day. The food isn't bad but it's not spectacular either. The prices are good and so are the servings. Staff was friendly as well.

This is an authentic Chinese dining experience with traditional dishes and decor. The sizzling chicken. Is reminiscent to the General Tso's chicken found at other establishments. The egg drop soup and chicken fried rice were filling and tasted as expected. Service was good as well.

This used to be a place of real value for your money. Generous portions at a reasonable price. Thats no longer the case. Ordered seafood pan fried noodle and there was very little noodles and just a couple of pieces of seafood. The beef noodle soup that used to be served in a large bowl; now smaller. Tastes however still good.

The food is good. It has an authentic Chinese menu with authentic Chinese dishes in Mandarin with English descriptions. We now order ahead and get takeout when we don't have time to sit.

My husband and I discovered this place on Sunday and are already back for our second time the following Wednesday!! This place is amazing & the staff is so nice. So much food for the price & leftovers are amazing too! We will continue to come here for our Chinese needs for the foreseeable future.

We were in on Friday night dinner. We ordered about 10 different dishes. They were all excellent on the quality and portion of the food. The Fried Oysters was the best. The services was fast and hot off the wok. We will be back again.

Love it been going for years it never disappoints. Food is always delicious all costs have gotten out of control one of the few places that is worth the cost . Place is always packed staff is very friendly. The family is always there very surprised the oldest girl has not been put to work yet. The only draw back is them being young and loud but you know this going in soIts to be expected we usually get it to go and its always good. One of the best chinese places to eat at. Very authentic food. The only bad thing is when they close for a week and go on vacation!!!
