We made a stop through Memphis to visit Beale Street for a night and worked Ghost River into our plans. I ordered an Aqua Mane at the Blues City Cafe with lunch, and I was hooked. Had to walk down to the brewery and see what else was good. So glad we did. The beers were great! Our server, Audrey was nice and helpful. We'll definitely return next time we're in Memphis.

You wouldn't think a brewery on Beale would have such a delicious lunch but they DO! These were absolutely the best wings we have ever tasted. These hot tip is to ask for "off menu" Alabama white sauce. Finger licking good, does not describe the true tastiness of these plump wings. The beer brewed nearby ( locally in Memphis) is exceptionally well balanced and fresh. Service was prompt and efficient and the ambiance was a cool vibe!

At the far end of Beale St. we were happy with Ghost River for its beer, cover band and outdoor patio, and as a Wisconsinite very happy to walk into a Packer bar (even in the offseason). I enjoyed the Hefeweizen and IPA option, wouldn't mind seeing more sours in their brew game, would return again for a flight! The outdoor patio is not bad, we enjoyed the random cover band that was playing standard cover band covers that night! It was a less crazy option on Beale Street, but still with its fun cast of characters.

A nice brewery on Beale. The bartender was nice and had a plethora of jokes to tell. He kept our glasses full of hoppy goodness while doing his best to service the rest of the crowd. The place has a ghoulish, ghostly vibe, green neon everywhere giving off an eerie glow. The beers here are tasty, but I have honestly had better. It is of my opinion that you should start here and move on to bigger and better establishments.

A nice brewery with a lovely selection of beer and beer-based cocktails. The beers were a bit hit or miss but I really liked the dom's red and a cherry sour they had on tap. I did not really care for the other beers though. The beer-based cocktails are fun but a bit too on the sweet side for my taste. We also got the chips and queso which were just okay. The servers were very attentive and kind even during a very busy time. We never had to wait too long for anything and were checked on after which I appreciated. There was a great live musician (Terry Greene) playing songs from the 90s and early 2000s which really made my evening! It was lovely to drink beer and listen to music. Overall, I had a nice time and would return!

There's nothing better than stopping in a tap room to enjoy a flight of locally brewed beer on a Saturday afternoon -- provided that the beer is decent -- and the offerings at Ghost River Brewing, though similar to hundreds of other craft brewers across the nation, were quite good. If I were a local instead of a first time visitor in Memphis, I'd probably be a regular consumer of their products. The beers I sampled included: 1. Zippin Pippin IPA -- A lightly hopped, smooth drinking IPA. (Side note: The Zippin Pippin was said to be Elvis' favorite roller coaster. It is reported that he rode it hundred's of times. At some point the coaster was taken out of service, and subsequently, in 2010, was purchased by the city of Green Bay, WI (where I lived and worked for 30 years), and rebuilt at the city's Bay Beach Amusement Park. I'm sorry to say that I never got around to ridding it while I lived in Green Bay.)2. Riverbank Red ale -- a very good example of a red ale.3. East Beale English bitter - Excellent example of an English Bitter.4. Golden Ale -- In my opinion, the weakest of the flight, the taste was off and it was bit sour for me.5. Rocket 88 oatmeal stout -- somewhat bitter, a bit dark and chewy but not as "creamy" as some that I've had. 6. Don's Red Barrel Aged Red Ale -- A fairly strong brew with just a tad of bourbon whiskey taste from the barrel.Like many craft breweries, their offerings vary by season and new brews are frequently on tap, so some of what I had might not be available when you visit. But that's the fun of ordering a tasting flight -- you get to try a bunch of different brews when ever you visit.

I love New Wing Order and Ghost River, so together that's a fantastic combo! This location has vodka infused sludgiest (yum!) and you also have the option to select rotating features wings. I chose the Huli Huli with jalapeño ranch dressing and that was superb. And the lemon garlic fries were seasoned just right. The service was great on a Saturday night and the live music was kinda terrible. But it is what it is. The band was trying. Overall I recommend.

Do yourself a favor and stop by Ghost River Brewing. The Beale St location is very convenient, being just steps away from the FedEx Forum and other Beale St attractions. You will quickly fall in love. It has become our favorite neighborhood go-to spot. They offer great food, live music, craft beer, and some awesome watch parties for your favorite football and basketball teams (Go Pack Go and Go Grizz). The staff and fellow 'regulars' have quickly become like family. I highly recommend checking them out.

Visited Sat., Dec. 7th. I know my beers and have been to countless breweries. My wife, daughter and I had 3 different beers here and all tasted off, with an unpleasant aftertaste. We all thought so. I wonder if the place has a systemic contamination? What gets me that that they serve so called pints, at pint prices, in plastic dixie cups that are clearly not a pint. Nobody there seems to mind that. I find it lame. The vast majority of breweries don't pull that stunt.
