Funky Cones

More of a novelty ice cream shop. Cool idea for the waffle cones, but it's basic Mayfield ice cream flavors. Service was slow due to the last hour of the day crowd. With it being crowded, the noise level was very high. Fun idea, but the prices were a bit steep.

Funky Cones is unique. The line was long but moved quickly. The three young girls were kind and working hard. Our table needed wiped down and was out of napkins, but I took some from the table beside us. It wasn't a big deal. My Strawberry Funky Cone came in a plastic boat. It was heavenly. The warm waffle with vanilla Blue Bell ice cream covered in Strawberry puree was the perfect combination.My husband's Funky Monkey and my son's Oreo Funky Monkey were both delicious as well. Three waffle ice creams were $28. One is big enough to share if you don't want to feel stuffed.

A nice family run ice cream place with really cool waffles. Get a waffle loaded up and split it because even though you can eat one by yourself, you probaly shouldn't. Think of the future. Friendly staff, clean and tasty.

Very delicious and unique take on ice cream. Many yummy options available! Store is very clean, employees are very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended. I live in Memphis, but I'm willing to make the drive to Tupelo often just for this ice cream!

We stopped in for a quick treat and got a chunky monkey and banana cream pie shake. Omg!!! Both were so good! The bubble waffle was warm and perfect. I've cream was delish. And the girls behind the counter were so sweet. Definitely recommend this place!

My family and I went here for the first time tonight. We don't splurge often, but reviews looked great so we decided to try it out. Unfortunately we won't be back because... - waffle machine broke & young girls working kept selling waffles. Had to refund orders for several customers. We also intended to order a waffle but thankfully overheard the wait times others were complaining about. Girls said they were trying to reach the owner but weren't sure what to do. - 2/3 ice cream flavors we ordered had ice crystals in them, suggesting they had melted and refrozen. Tasted old. - tables were sticky & had not been wiped down. - napkin dispensers were empty, so our kids were just out of luck with their messy mouths I guess- no public restroom - which is never good when visiting with kids - we ordered a funky cookie, which looked entirely different on the website that what was served in store. It was good, but again, expectations were different than reality. This business would do well to 1) have an adult working and 2) to do a little quality control on the food, equipment, and overall cleanliness of the restaurant.

This ice cream definitely lived up to its name it was to die for. I loved every bite I took and couldn't stop eating it until I finished the entire thing. The service was great and the woman serving up was very nice. We waited about 5 minutes until our three ice creams were ready which was pretty speedy. I definitely recommend eating here and would definitely come again.

I got the Chunky Monkey, and my only regret was not sharing it (it was big). But then again, it was so good that sharing didn't even occur to me until later!

I had the Chunky Monkey! Such a yummy treat! Butter Pecan ice cream, topped with caramel, peanuts, banana and chocolate pocky on a fluffy waffle cone! So good!

Get the churros Sundae. That crunch it's like a cross between a Dutch applepie à la mode and Sweet baby Jesus.
