Attempting to follow the Great River Road in Kentucky, which was flooded over, we detoured a bit to Trimble, KY and went to Fill Throttle distillery. It's tucked away in a quiet town but worth the detour. They offer 1 free tasting of their Whisheys, Vodkas, Moonshines, Creams and Sweets. Then, it's $5 for 5 more sips. Staff was great. We tried 15+ and walked out with SEVERAL. My favorite was the Orange Creamcicle and my Husband liked the vanilla moonshine.

Unique place, they give you samples of the moonshine, friendly staff they also have a chatty Perot greeting customers

You can only get Full Throttle Moonshine here or up in Sturgis, South Dakota. This is nestled in a little county town outside Dyersburg, Tn in Trimble- think "thimble."Sample delicious flavors of watermelon, apple, espresso coffee flavor, vanilla, peach and blackberry just to name a few favorites. Mason jars sell for about $24 a piece. Make great gifts too since this is not available everywhere. They also sell some clothing and a few other things here. Definitely worth the stop. Then when you leave here be sure to go next door and enjoy a fabulous southern meal of bar b que or fresh fried catfish filets at Bells and Whistles Cafe.

I visit a lot of places out on my motorcycle. This place was nice! The staff was welcoming and helpful. They offer a tour of the distillery for free, and you can "try before you buy" in the store. Their S'loonshine is fair. Its made the old fashioned way and is as good as any "store bought" shine that Ive tried. Stop in and check them out, its worth the visit!

So sorry for poor rating but.... We made a detour here on trip to Kentucky and Tennessee (From Arkansas). Wanted to stop, check out the place, try some moonshine and probably buy some to take home. Exited the highway and found the place ok (could sure use a sign or two pointing the way! Lol.). Was about noontime on Wednesday. Was considering eating there or somewhere in town?. It's a sleepy very small town which is fine with us. Found the place. Was impressive from the outside and inside too. But............. No one even acknowledged us as being there! No welcome, have a seat, can I help you! No offer to taste some shine???? Nothing! So, felt awkward!! Just left and headed down the road.
