Front Street Deli

Walked in here around closing time on a Tuesday. The man working quickly made me a fresh sandwich. He explained the bread is made freshly in-house, which was definitely appreciated on first bite. The space itself has a great "deli" feel.

Food was good and the employee was nice but this place was super understaffed. Only one guy working with a limited menu when we went for lunch on Presidents Day. I really wanna know what bread they use tho because it's amazing!

Came for St. Jude and stopped for lunch. Homemade bread for the sandwiches. I had two items not on the menu: a potato soup and a chicken salad style sandwich. Incredible. I come once a year (at least) for St. Jude. I now have a new regular stop. Extraordinary food and incredible service.

Holy goodness. The men inside are great chatting with & made us feel very welcome. Us girls both ordered the #5 breakfast on a croissant. I could not be happier.

Tasty, fresh sandwiches; slow service. We visited on a Wednesday for lunch around noon. It is a small space. There is a counter inside where you could eat, but I think it might be a little awkward given the close quarters. There are also outside tables on the side walk, which would be ideal in the warmer months. However, if it is cooler, I recommend ordering and taking it to go. I would also recommend calling ahead given the wait. I'm not sure why, but all the sandwiches are named after Tom Cruise's movies. There were a lot of nice options. I appreciated that the bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and there was a nice ratio of meat to toppings. They also have an impressive variety of gourmet sauces that add a special "something something" to the sandwiches. The staff works hard and engages in light conversation to keep you entertained while you wait.

Well... they forgot one of our sandwiches. So that's a definite strike. In regards to the other food, we enjoyed our Firm sandwich and Greek pasta salad. Both were hearty portions. However, there is no inside seating at all and the parking is difficult as well.I like the concept on this restaurant but they need to get it together on orders and possibly expand.

Wow what a sandwich. Delicious! I had the vanilla sky and I can't wait to go back. All the sandwiches were Tom Cruise themed, for obvious reasons. The service was friendly, though a bit slow that day. But I will definitely be having lunch here often.

Oh man, the NY sub here is the best sandwich in town, easy. Bread made in-house, as is the garlic aioli. I could eat this thing every day. Outstanding.

I had the privilege of ordering the FIRST Front Street Deli sandwich since their reopening this July! I ordered the Stone Hero sandwich upon recommendation from the staff, and it's safe to say it did not disappoint! It was truly one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time! The ingredients were so fresh, the sauces were to die for, and the bread was PERFECTION! The staff truly couldn't have been nicer, and their passion for Memphis and its culinary scene was evident. As a lifelong Memphian, I'm thrilled Front Street Deli is back open!! Please be sure to give this place a try and support a phenomenal local business!!

I moved to the Memphis area last year, and have been waiting for Front Street Deli to open so I could try it. Today I did. It did not disappoint! I ordered the Stone Hero sandwich. It is delicious. I look forward to returning, especially since it is right by where I work. The service was great and staff was friendly and helpful.
