Friends Bookstore

I love this place! It's larger than the one close to home and I can hit it up on my way home from work. It's got multiple rooms and sections and they get donations often so it's worth checking back in here every week to see what's new! They also have a rewards program where you pay $10 and get a free $2 book each month, as well as an additional one on your birthday. I haven't been able to take advantage of a full year yet as I always miss a but I'm determined to complete it this year! There's nothing special that happens when you do, I just feel like I've fully taken advantage of the deal when I do.

Located towards the front of the library. This store offers an expansive selection of used books & digital media available in a variety of multiple genres for all ages. I use to spend hours at Davis Kidds Cat's & local used bookstores /music stores that offered a variety of movies music & books. Despite missing the days they were in business I felt the same vibe & nostalgia like I was walking in & shopping at those stores with exception of cheaper prices offered here with items ranging from $0.50 to $5.00. The common $5 items include signed copies & coffee table books while $0.50 items would include cassette audio books mass market paperbacks & children's books. Being an avid movie collector & audiophile my main focus is towards their CD & DVD selection offering a reasonable selection that is possibly hit or miss still enjoyable sorting through all he same. If you're looking to enjoy a coffee after with your new read there's no coffee shop inside. I'd recommend ordering Starbucks down the street before arriving & enjoy your experience outside on their nice stone picnic tables located towards the Library entrance. I would recommend enjoying the book with coffee experience inside the library on comfy furniture but drinks aren't prohibited. My enjoyable shopping experience didn't yield any finds of my interest this trip but found movies my friends would enjoy so I have recommend they shop here & buy titles that would interest them. Great little used book store inside the Germantown Library building. Excellent selection! Great prices! Very nice people working there.
