They have moved again and are now on hwy12 close to the hospital this is there current location. French's has move from the Court Square, North Jackson Street. I find this a fault that Yelp needs changed. I have eaten at French's several times and the food is good. Service is slow but friendly. Portions are on the small side so if you have a big appetite, you might not want to eat here. I found the prices are a little high. I had the chicken and waffles during the Natchez Trace Festival and the flavors was wonderful but once again portions for very small.

I had the pleasure of stopping at this little hole in the wall for a quick bite on my way through town. I was greeted by a delightful young lady of 21 years who explained the menu and shared some small talk. Only in The South do you find out your cashier's age and which hospital she was born in over the course of ordering lunch... So, the service was top notch; on to the food. I'll review each item we ordered:Ribs: They weren't the most tender I've ever had, but they were meaty and smoky, with a flavorful rub. Pulled Pork: Absolutely outstanding. Moist and flavorful without being greasy. My son said it melted in his mouth and I agree. This was recommended by the cashier, with good reason. Beans: Sweet and spicy, with bits of what appeared to be ground sausage. A solid effort. Turnip Greens: A decent sized portion, but nothing special flavorful-wise. Not bad, just ordinary - especially compared to the meat. Fried: Meh. Standard food service grade crinkle cut fries. A nice sized portion, though. Value: Prices are what you would expect - in line with other BBQ joints. I.e. $19.99 for a full slab of ribs.

Stopped here on our trek down the Nachez Trace drive. Food was amazing! I had Catfish and Ribs - best I've ever had! The place is small and nondescript but the food is worth going out of your way for.

I was headed to KFC to get my father lunch when I noticed that Frenchie's had lights on and a car out front. I quickly made a U-turn and pulled into their parking lot! I noticed there were a few people inside, but the sign said they didn't open for another hour and a half. But there they were, unlocking the door and asking if they could help me. I explained my situation (taking my father lunch at the nearby Veteran's Home) and they quickly fixed me up with a fresh off the smoker piece of chicken, baked beans and potato salad. Y'all! Not only was this the best meal, they were just the sweetest ladies I've run into in Kosciusko! Go by and see them, of course, when they are open!! I know I'll be back during their regular hours, now that I know them!

My husband and I stopped here by chance on our road trip to Nachez. We ordered chicken, greens, cabbages and fries. The food was amazing! sooo tasty. Go there for the food, it's very delicious, like my mother's cuisine.

My husband and I went on a Thursday night at the end of October 2014. We were staying in Kosciusko at a bed and breakfast close by. The location of French's is 112 N. Jackson St. on the square in Kosciusko. At the time I write this review, Yelp is listing the address incorrectly. The service was good and staff were nice. We ordered the ribs and smoked chicken. The food took a while to come out, but the server had told us that the smoked chicken would take more time so we were okay. So glad we waited for the chicken. It was amazing - so tender and moist that it practically melted in our mouths. The ribs and sides were good too. We had turnip greens with our meal and really enjoyed them. All in all it was a really good experience.

The pulled pork sandwich for lunch was nothing but sauce. Turnip greens had a strange taste. Service was slow. Server never returned to table except to bring check & I was over charged. Will never return
