A hidden gem among fast food giants!I've lived close to Finney's for a couple of years, but I just recently decided to try it out. Man have I been missing out!I had the cheeseburger, onion rings, and their famous potato salad. I also had a Pepsi (just a head's up, they don't do Coke products). The burger was juicy and had that "home cooked on July 4th" flavor. The onion rings were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The potato salad is a mashed potato consistency and very mustardy; so unique and flavorful! I placed my order to go and the woman who took my order and payment was very friendly and pleasant. I did not go in but I could see from the window that the kitchen was very clean and well cared for! I highly recommend stopping in and giving Finney's a try. A southern, small town classic hidden in Tupelo! Pro tip: Finney's is only open 10:30-4 Monday through Friday; call your order in and pick it up for lunch!

My father built this building in 1970, as Minuteman Hamburgers--the first fast food hamburger restaurant in Tupelo. So when I was in town this past week, it is always a must stop for me to go have lunch at Finney's Sandwhich & Soda Shop, a Tupelo institution. The owners and their children manage and operate the business as a family food establishment. You will get their old fashion potato salad, great sandwiches and much more. Stop in today and enjoy something fresh and different from the standard fast food chains. You will be glad that you did.

Didn't see any "Tupelo Honey" this trip, but discovered a gold mine in this old-timey sandwich shop. Order at the counter, be seated for your number to be called, condiments on the table and at the serving counter. Chips with every plate, but fries are an upcharge, which I opted for, hot and crispy fried to order. My sandwich choice was country ham, toasted white bread, lettuce and tomato. It was great.While the place could use an updating, that's not a negative for me, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, workers very friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious.

A year ago, I moved to Florida. I was home (Tupelo, MS) for a week. There isn't a lot to do but eat. I could have dined a lot of places, but I chose Finney's as one of the places to go with a friend. This is their chef salad. It comes with ham, turkey, and real bacon bits. I am allergic to red meat. That's why it's not on my salad. Finney's is one of the staple restaurants in Tupelo, Mississippi. Everyone is friendly, and the food is good. If you haven't been, you must go. It's a must. You won't be disappointed.

Abusive owners. Witnessed the owners openly bullying and berating the special needs man that buses all the tables. I did speak to the owner and told her how upsetting this was, then she started to berate and bully me. Told her we would not be back and she said GOOD! No stars !

Can't beat it!!! The chicken salad sandwich is a staple. Burgers are amazing. Most of my family swear by the chopped BBQ sandwich. Kids love the milkshakes and ice cream treats. Potato salad is delicious and unlike any other. Insider hack - they will sell their potato salad by the pint if you pre-order it. I go there every chance I get! I've been eating at Finney's since my grandparents took me 30+ years ago. It's nostalgic and always a treat!!

Not often I'll grab some pit beef outside of Baltimore, but this place is an exception. I'll come back any excuse I've got!

Quick, friendly, and great service. The burger is sooooo good. My food was fresh and hot.

Love to eat here weekly. Food comes out fast even with lunch crowd. Atmosphere is always great.

Tupelo institution. Good old fashion sandwich shop. Love the stuffed tomato w/tuna! Wife loves the onion rings!
