Wow... where do I start! We moved to the area about 3 months ago and were hunting out the area's best bbq. Fatguy came highly recommended and we visited tonight. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by warm staff and the owner, Ray. We ordered pulled pork sandwich plates, a brisket sandwich plate and a Fatguy Combo w/ 3 desserts. They have a large outdoor patio and the dining room was cozy and comfortable. After a very nice chat with the owner, the kitchen staff brought out extra samples including chicken wings and even rib tips smothered in delicious bbq sauce! Everything was absolutely delicious and our family agreed it's by far the best bbq in the county! Ray was the sweetest and we will definitely be back regularly. Ray and staff, thank you for taking care of my family and making us feel at home.

We entered and were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere was very cozy and unique. We had the brisket, smoked chicken, smoked sausage, baked beans, potatoes (forget their name). He also brought us out the potato salad and mac and cheese to try. All of the meats were better than anything I have had in town, or really ever, and I've been to hundreds of places. The potatoes had a really great flavor with I believe chili oil and my wife (which doesn't necessarily like spicy foods) loved them also. I thought the baked beans were like Bush's which I love, but they were even better. The potato salad was evenly proportioned with spices and ingredients and was one of the better ones I've ever had. He was very hospitable and you can tell he loves his job. I would highly recommend going there if you are in Murfreesboro!

Another great visit here. Food is always good, comes out quickly and has good flavor. Staff is friendly and helpful and good parking. Normally go with the turnip greens but they were out so went with the mac &cheese instead. Left feeling very full and plenty of leftovers for dinner or lunch tomorrow. We will definitely be coming back as this is one of our go to spots for BBQ now.

We always past by it every time we go to the dollar store, honestly the food there looks good, would try it

Fatguy Southern Kitchen is the place to be for Wing Wednesday! If you haven't made it out from Murfreesboro, it's well worth the short trip.12 huge smoked chicken wings for $9.99 is a steal and available every Wednesday but only until sold out.Last week I stopped in shortly before closing, saw the special on the sign out front and immediately knew that was what I wanted.When I got to the counter they were already sold out for the day and admittedly, I was kind of bummed out . The woman working at the counter was so nice and said "wait, take this with you" and handed me a card with an offer for 6 free wings with an entree purchase on my next visit.Popular bbq joints sell out often. It's part of the bbq experience and this was the first place that offered me anything to come back.Instead of leaving upset they turned me into a customer that day.Fast forward to today and I had a game plan to get there when they opened for lunch.It was a different crew but the same kindness was extended today by both of the guys working.I was in and out in 5 minutes and decided to eat on the patio outside.The wings kind of blew me away by both the taste and size. They have the perfect amount of smokiness and seasoning, and juicy is an understatement.Here's my recommendation for 2 people. Grab an entree that comes with 2 sides and the wings. There will be more than enough food for both and a great way to try out the different menu options.I'm already looking forward to my next visit!Go for the great food, but come back to support the businesses that offer friendly service!

This is by far the best Barbecue I've had in the state of Tennessee and possibly my entire life. Extremely friendly staff that doesn't lack southern hospitality.

The food is fabulous and the service is top notch! Ray and his team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was great. Love it!

Everything about this restaurant was a great experience. I went there with 2 of my friends and myself. The prices were an excellent deal for the quality and the amount of food we got. Not only that the owner provided top tier service as he gave us some stew as a free appetizer. We were given free refills. Last but not least we got to take some complimentary cobbler for the road. The ambiance was exceptional as the restaurant had a very homey and original feel to it. It couldn't have been a more pleasant surprise to enjoy for lunch and I will definitely be going back to try more of their daily specials that change each day!
