Farmer's Family Restaurant

They have so many menu selections, they have fried chicken, fried fish and shrimp and boiled shrimp and salmon and so many side dishes, salad choices and desserts selections and ice cream too

We had not been since they moved to their new place but decided to try again. There's plenty of room and the buffet was nice. Service was acceptable. The food was, in my opinion not worth the cost. The only exception was the deep fried bacon. That was extremely good. All the rest was just ok. I was disappointed as when we used to eat there everything was awesome. The fresh fruit bar was not very good either. All in all it's not a restaurant worth paying 13.00 to eat not counting the coffee. Thankfully the water is still free.

I have them 2 stars only because the staff was really nice. I've lived in the Columbia area almost 25 years. I've been to Farmer's perhaps 10 times. Every time because someone tells me or I hear that the food is lots better now. Well, I went for breakfast this morning. Scrambled eggs had no flavor, probably powdered eggs.The bacon was either burned or rawThe pancakes and french toast was so stale and hard that I literally could not cut them with a knife.And to make matters worse, $12 for the buffet. For the quality of the food, that's ridiculously high.I'm really disappointed because this is the only breakfast buffet left in Columbia to my knowledge.

My husband loves this restaurant. We have moved from Columbia. It's been over two years but my husband still remembers the sweet potatoes and he wants to go back for more. He says he doesn't mind driving 2 1/2 hours to eat their sweet potatoes.

Nice place for a meal with plenty of choices. First thing I noticed upon entering was the size and openness of the restaurant. Went for lunch during the week and there were plenty of seats. Buffet was fresh and stocked with at least 5 different meat options and several vegetable choices as well. They did ask that you use hand sanitizer or gloves provided when picking up ladels/tongs for food items which was fine with us so they are covid conscious for those that wondered. Menu items change from lunch/dinner and on weekends so check ahead to see what they have to offer. Priced fair especially since they had a good selection of items. They also had a salad bar but never made it there although everything looked fresh as well. Server was attentive and drinks were refilled before running out. All in all a good experience and would be willing to try it again. They are open from 11am-8pm Monday through Friday and 8am-8pm on Saturday and Sunday where breakfast is available as well. Don't let the appearance of the shopping center fool you as it is a clean, inciting place. Plenty of parking as it shares the lot with several other businesses.

Typical bland buffet food. Not worth the $$. Total with a generous tip to the grumpy waitress was $37.00. Should have went to Sonic.

1st at this restaurant. I didn't know that it was a buffet until I walked in. I'll start by saying that the server was Awesome! I sampled at least a dozen different items from the hot bar. The quality of the food was very poor. The food quality reminded me of a Chinese buffet. Not finding any food from the hot bar that I liked, I moved to the salad bar. It was ok. I sampled 2 deserts, they were worse than the hot bar. Even the ice cream cone was terrible. Over $20.00 + tip. Sorry, I will definitely not return.

I haven't been to farmer since they moved to their new location way too far for me to go. I used to go to the one in the mall it was OK. Remember that it is owned and is religious in there so if you have a problem with religion don't go there. The food is average at the best but consistent like I said, I haven't been here in a few years since they've moved

Food and service were outstanding. Will be going back Saturday. Plenty of parking. Lady's were so nice.

Honestly I don't get the negative reviews. Every time I've been here the staff was nice and the food was good. No it's not a fancy restaurant, but I'd rather eat here than hometown buffet lol. Foods always been hot and the desserts are pretty good too.
