Rack of lamb is the best entree for me. You won't ever find it better prepared, with sweet potato and molasses and the right temperature. I've never ordered anything else unless it wasn't available.

Erling Jensen is my favorite spot for date nights, holidays, and events. The food and drinks have never let me down. The service is very professional and well-coordinated, but therefore the atmosphere is less warm than some other local restaurants with a more casual style of service. It's a good value at $75 for five courses (Thursday and Friday) and $45 for three courses on Sunday only. I have not ordered a la carte yet, but it all seems excellent. My favorite dishes have been the deconstructed beef Wellington, the duck confit en croute, the "shrimp, corn, tomato", and the pecan tart (ie fancy pecan pie). Dishes I didn't love include the sweetbread, the bison filet, and the chocolate mousse dessert.I love their Manhattan After Dark cocktail and their wine pairing offerings.

Yana was PHENOMENAL and provided the best service I've had in Memphis yet (which is a pretty high bar) Extraordinary service, very attentive and knowledgeable while being herself, genuine and very chill. She made me feel at home and welcomed while I was far away from my family and friends on a business trip. Food here excellent and high quality while the drinks expertly prepared and strong. I will definitely be back with family, business colleagues and clients. Thank you!

Nestled in the heart of Memphis, Erling Jensen: The Restaurant celebrates Chef Erling Jensen's storied career. Born in Denmark, Jensen began his culinary journey at 14. After training and an apprenticeship, he moved to the United States. Serving as the Chef at the Danish Embassy in Washington, DC, Jensen's talent and dedication quickly gained notoriety.Following two successful years in Washington, Chef Jensen caught the attention of Danish Chef/Restaurateur Jorgen Mueller, who recruited him as Executive Chef at the esteemed Prince Hamlet Restaurant in Miami, Florida. However, a serendipitous opportunity led him to Memphis. After reading a one-time ad in the New York Times for a Chef position at La Tourelle, a renowned French restaurant, Chef Jensen secured the job. In 1989, he and his family relocated to Memphis, where he transformed La Tourelle into the city's premier French establishment, earning accolades for its cuisine and impeccable service. During this transformative period, Chef Jensen also held the esteemed position of First Tennessee Bank's Corporate Executive Chef.Chef Jensen's culinary achievements, including two James Beard House appearances in New York City, have made him a renowned figure in the culinary world. Recognized as "Best Chef in Memphis" and "Best Restaurant in Memphis" for ten consecutive years, Chef Jensen's restaurant, Erling Jensen, exudes a cozy and charming ambiance, which invokes the feeling that you are dining in his own home. This personal touch was evident, during our visit, when Chef Jensen personally approached our table to introduce himself and inquire as to how we would like to have our steak and lamb prepared. This level of attentiveness and dedication to guest satisfaction is truly exceptional.Dining at Erling Jensen is an immersive culinary experience that reflects Chef Jensen's journey from Denmark to Memphis. It's a must-visit destination for foodies seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Memphis.

Amazing!!! From the food to the service everything screams fine dining. It is in a quaint location that makes it feel very intimate. Our server was wonderful! Her name was Lana or Llana (sp?) She was patient (as it was our first time) and very willing to explain and go through menu items. She even came to our table once our items came out to ensure that we liked it and implied that we could try something different if we didn't. That never happened. Everything we tried was amazing!! They even brought out some cookies to celebrate my mom's birthday! It was an amazing dining experience and I can't wait to go back!

Wonderful food and presented creatively. Equally impressive is the bar staff that are very knowledgeable of their craft. I love the decadent lobster sandwich from the bar menu. Yes, I recommend this very different dining experience, though its location is off the beaten path ... and it's a little pricey. If you haven't treated yourself lately, this is worth a visit.

The chocolate martini was delicious. Best part of the meal. However, it was $1 more than what the menu said it cost. Seems deceptive but what's a $1.. the caviar was $150 for 2 ounces. It was not the best caviar I've had. It tasted fishy. It tasted like a cheap caviar to me. I was disappointed. Didn't taste like quality caviar:
