El Vallarta

We're in town to visit family, and they highly recommended El Vallarta. We lived everything about the Sunday buffet. Everything is fresh and delicious. We come from a town known for good Mexican food, and this beats most of those at home. The only thing they need is a liquor license.

Amazing, great customer service and short wait times specific orders do not bother them and the chicken cheese and rice is phenomenal 5 stars

A very festive and colorful Mexican restaurant in McKenzie, Tennessee!The mariachi music, colorful murals, anf carved wood chairs transport you to from the South to South of the Border! Large tables for families are inside.I had the chicken and ham fajitas. The portion size was enough for two! Lots of meat with a full compliment of rice, beans, and vegetables.The service was prompt. The chips, salsa, and tortillas were average. If those improve this could be rated even higher!

I promise you, I know Mexican food. Some of the people here do not.If you want ambiance and run-of-the-mill Mexican cuisine , eat here. If you want excellent Mexican food in McKenzie, eat at Maria's!!Everything we have tried here tastes like "heat and serve" frozen entrees, not much tastes like fresh. The chips and salsa were the best part of our meals. None of the food we ordered was bad, but none of it was memorable either. If you frequent these common Mexican restaurants, the food here will be familiar to you. The wait staff act like their doing you a favor by taking your order and a bigger favor actually bringing it to you. No smiles, no happy faces and nobody seems to care about quality anything.

Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant!!! I've never had a bad experience here. Every now and then my order might get mixed up and is quickly fixed. But that is rare! The El Vallarta special, burrito verde, or the El Vallarta delight are my favorites. The employees are always polite and they have great customer service. I eat here once, sometime twice a week and very rarely do I ever run into any problems.

This Yelp review is the 2nd ever for McKenzie, I hope the list of reviews keep growing. :)I grew up in McKenzie, but I now live in Aptos, California. I wanted to write a review for El Vallarta because this place rivals the best Mexican restaurants that I have been to in California! I just wish this place was around when I had lived in McKenzie. But, it is a great place to go when I am visiting family and friends.First, this restaurant has plenty of seating, many in comfy private booths. The decor is very colorful and bright, which puts a smile on my face every time I am there. I also love the variety in the menu, which includes many combinations of enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, etc. but also a sizable a la carte menu as well including salads and baked potatoes (for those not keen on just Mexican cuisine). I especially love their chile verde enchiladas and pork tamales, delicious! Also, the prices can't be beat - very reasonable. The service is also great, never an empty glass. And, did I mention you get free chips and salsa? This is a great place for large groups or families to meet.I highly recommend El Vallarta as the go-to restaurant in McKenzie!

This is the BEST hands down Mexican restaurant we have ever been too!!! The salsa is amazing! The daily specials are amazing! Service is great.

Great place to eat. Customer service is awesome. The have the nicest attitude. Always on time and never a long wait time.

Been there about five times. Always get great service and great food. Tonight was no exception. I wanted a dish I had the previous year when I was there last but didn't see it on the menu. The waiter said they could make whatever I'd like. And they did. It was perfect. He kept us in tea and salsa the whole time. And the best part...no corona craziness.
