El Ranchito Restaurant

Nope, nope, and nope. You have been warned lol. The seasoning was terrible, the texture was awful, and the wait was even worse. For how long we waited you would have thought they were the best tacos around. The inside is trash, the outside is no better. Plenty of more Mexican restaurants other than this one.

I have been frequenting El Ranchito for a year and a half. I walk out air-punching in celebration after every visit. I recommend the tacos with cilantro and onion so you can try multiple meats. All are good. Asada, cabeza, tripa (order it soft!!), pastor, etc.Burritos and quesadillas are massive. The chicken is fantastic and the plate is a large portion. Weekends: menudo :) y caldo y polloTry ALL salsas, and ask for the tomatillo salsa (it is kept in the refrigerator). The tomatillo salsa is almost sweet, and has consistent texture. The dark red salsa has a hint of coffee bean grit and goes well on the red meats. The orange one is tasty on all, and the green is great for chicken. You must eat here.

My painter bring me food from here sometimes. It's always amazing. It's very authentic and the salsa you can dip your tacos in is to die for! Much better food than you get at most of the restaurants in Memphis.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. Super small and very authentic in looks and flavors. Great food with some really good beans and rice. The beans are more like a thick bean soup than refried beans. I like them much better. Anything I've had was really good. The tacos are great ( Lamb tacos was Mmmmm ) and on the weekends they do a grilled half chicken that is covered with a chili paste before grilled ( the best I have had in the city ). Not a strong understanding of English in the place and the area is a little dodgy but if you want really good food it's well worth a try! Learn to order in Spanish and enjoy!

Best tacos I've ever had. Simple and delicious. They're sauces are amazing. It maybe a little dangerous in the area, but it's worth it.

Food is terrible, people were so rude. My torta was pure dog meat. Do not recommend this place at all not even to my dog
