El Paso Cafe & Restaurant

Excellent meal! You would not think that from the location. Very good. Service was excellent as well. Would recommend to anyone that wants real Mexican food.

I thought it was called Barren Plains Mexican Restaurant. My mistake. I have eaten at the other Mexican restaurants in town but this one is far better than all the rest. It doesn't look like much on the outside but the inside has been recently remodeled. Me and my family eat here often as do other members of my family. It also doesn't hurt that it's the only eatery around for 15 miles. They are a family owned and operated restaurant. They have a server named junior who is completely awesome. He is super friendly and remembers everybody's name and regular dish. The food is not too salty unlike other in Springfield. Things have gotten a little more expensive and understandably so. I do think they raised the price just a bit too much and have over compensated the business. I used to eat there 1 time a week but due to substantial increases we go now about once every month or 2. The salsa is great but they started charging for an extra cup of salsa now too. This is not enough for me to get less than 5 stars because the business is great. I just can't afford it like before. I do recommend them them because the food is exceptional.

The food is so delicious. It's always very awesome . The wait time is perfect. If are in the area trying to find a good Mexican restaurant then I would highly recommend eating here . You will not be disappointed

This place is a hidden little gem out in the country! We drive 30 mins to get to it, and it's well worth it. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious! Give them a try! You won't be sorry!!

Go to Mexican place!! I live for Mexican food and this is my favorite place to get tacos! The Sudero (spelling?) tacos are sooooo good! Also- ask for the spicy salsas- they don't bring them out unless you ask... it's my favorite part! Also, service is amazing! junior is awesome!!!!

This place is definitely out of the way but totally worth the few extra driving minutes. Authentic, delicious food with friendly staff. If you haven't been, I highly recommend that you go.

We were reluctant to try this little gem because of its location. However, the owners have turned what once was an old dilapidated country stone into a beautiful little Mexican restaurant. Service is great and the food is always good. We can't wait to try more items on the menu.

Served us Spoiled Sour Cream and wanted to Argue. We are not a high volume customer but we're steady Customers. Not anymore.

It is very close to people that live in barren plains , and if you are hungry you go to El Paso and you order it won't take long for the food to come out but the food is good and also just a little overpriced on something's, on my opinion.
