El Paraiso Authentic Mexican Restaurant

El Paraiso Authentic Mexican Restaurant is located in the same shopping plaza as the Walmart. With it being in such a big shopping plaza, parking is not an issue.The inside has a pleasant enough ambiance and the service is friendly. I looked over the menu and went with a burrito.The burrito was decent enough. Nothing special, but it was decently priced I also noticed that they were advertising buy one, get one free margaritas. I think this is a big reason people head here.Overall, not bad and it was convenient while I was getting a tire repaired at Walmart.All things considered, I will give it four stars. The food itself probably rates three stars, but the service and price jacks it up one star.

I've been here 5 or 6 times and have had good service, good food and atmosphere is friendly. I usually get the street tacos or the chimichanga grande. Always hot and fresh! They have a great little shaker on the tables following seasoning that's great on everything!

The El pastor is so juicy and amazing - our favorite restaurant in south haven - we drive over 45 mins all winter as well to eat there. No alcohol

This is the first time we have been that the food wasn't good. Not sure what happened. Food was tasteless and merino chimichanga was undercooked, the bottom was doughy. The shrimp were rubbery. I may give them a while and try again.

First trip to restaurant today and it was very very good. Great service, friendly, very clean. We got the Mexican Guacamole which was awesome and chips are thin and crisp which I really like. Hubby got Shrimp Diablo and thought it was great and I got shrimp nachos they were awesome. Really plan on coming back soon. Great job guys !!Couldn't give a bad mark on any thing so you get 5 stars

Food is horrible if you're with a large party. Servers can barely speak English and get orders confused and wrong often. The meat in their tacos, nachos, or burritos is all the same and very hard/dry no matter how you get it. Servers will walk right by you and not ask if you need anything. Won't be back.

This restaurant has become one of our favorites! We have ordered many if not most, items on their extensive menu from steak to ceviche. Never disappointed in the quality and preparation of the dishes or the excellent, friendly service from manager to server.I have been ordering the "steak and grilled shrimp" for the past four or five visits! The T-bone is probably 6-8 oz., being a thinner cut (about 3/4 inch thickness) but cooked surprisingly perfect to medium. Paired with salad and eight perfectly grilled medium shrimp and rice, it is just right for a meal. The price is a bit higher than other items on the menu ($18.??) but worth it! They serve a drawn butter and "secret" spices the chef prepares with each order for the dosing of the shrimp - I also dip a bite if steak in this concoction and love it. I highly recommend this place and trying this dish!

Excellent tacos and guacamole. Friendly and fast service. I thought the food quality and menu was the best of the Mexican places in the Hernando area.
