El Burrito Express

Didn't want to sit in restaurant, but wanted Mexican food. I yelped and there it was, El Burrito food truck. Ordered a chicken taco and carne asada burrito. The taco was very good and the burrito even better. Great flour tortilla, well seasoned meat, beans, cheese, lettuce and sour cream. Every ingredient was the perfect amount, add the hot sauce and you have one tasty burrito!Can't wait to return next time in that part of town.

Amazing food truck in Memphis! As an adopted Texan/former New Mexican and very picky about the whole genre of "Mexican" food, I attempted this food truck based on relative cheapness of fare. Cannot stand the adoption by expensive places of the "authentic" Mexican Street tacos as these avaricious morons inevitably attach an outrageously high price to what - by definition, should be cheap. By contrast, the misnamed "El Burrito Express" offers street tacos for 99 cent (Pollo). I chose 3 Bistek street tacos with default toppings of onions, Serrano pepper and cilantro. escabeche was included as was a lime wedge, cucumber slice and an amazing green sauce. As a fan of extreme piquant, also requested the hottest sauce they had which was the green. After eating them I had that near miraculous taste of the highest piquant absent the excessive capcasin developed by "cheating". 5 stars!! Will go back!!

This place is YUMMY! Such a great find- midtown is lucky to have this taco truck. The tacos are made with authentic corn tortillas and filled generously. I also love their 2 salsas- a red and green sauce. At 1.50 a taco, I have no reason to go elsewhere ever again!

Awesome tacos they were actually really good and man the polo one was OH so good. Btw the the polo ones are only .99 cents also got a burrito and it was on point. Yum. So run down on tacos we got Asada, Pator, chorizo, barbacoa, carnitas and of course polo. All were good but that chicken was just well a yum. Next time I will be getting the polo asado. Anyway last bite the guy cooking and running it was a very nice man. I will def be sending my friends as well as random people I tell about it over to get some food.

Posted up in a gas station parking lot but don't let that deceive you. I go here for lunch all the time. Yummy yummy barbacoa tacos!! And they have these pickled carrots that are so good: I always order extra carrots. Cheap, fast, good food.

Good authentic Mexican street tacos. Near down town Memphis.Will try burritos next.

Being from California it's hard to find decent Mexican food out here. This is the closest thing to home. So glad we found this truck. Customer service is excellent!

Soooooo good. Leaves all the other wannabe Mexican food in the area in the dust. Tacos and burritos were delicious as was the salsa and the pickled veggies. If you're in midtown you've probably driven by this place numerous times...do yourself a favor and check it out. It's worth it.
