Eggsellent Cafe

Okay, hear me out, 1,000 STARS IF POSSIBLE!!! What?! This place was AMAZING! The breakfast burrito thing we both got pictured below... PHENOMENAL! And the PRICES?! SO CHEAP FOR WHAT YOU GOT!! Maybe I am just a little excited for how cheap and how good the food is, but how could you not be?2 juices and 2 breakfast burritos for the 2 of us equaling a total of $25 pre tip. I know things are cheaper in the south (we are true city people from the northeast), but this was great on our road trip driving through the south on our quest to see all 50 states (and on our way to the National Championship game!) Breakfast burrito was on a flour tortilla, with egg, cheese, bacon AND sausage (NYC could never for those prices), and hasbrowns on the side. I wish we could have had more food there! The service was also amazing! Cute little mom and pop diner that I'm assuming gets a lot of college kids from the nearby ASU. Server was so nice and sweet, food came out quickly, and overall great time! The perfect little random

Food was delicious, service was good, and the price was on point. I would say the portions are somewhat small compared to other places, but I left full and feeling good instead of being overly stuffed like I do at some places. Will go back.

Food was amazing! If you're looking for a great breakfast alternative to iHop, Cracker Barrel or Waffle House, give them a try!

I had a very disappointing experience. After I paid $30 cash to a waiter with a $10 tip for $20 food I was walking to leave when I was stopped at the door by 2 staff members and asked if I paid. I was shocked and upset that I was questioned. I said it was not right that they were questioning me after I paid them already at the table. One of them said sorry the other just looked expressionless without any remorse or word of sorry.In my 60 years of life no body had questioned me or implied that I would actually try to leave without paying. I am a Professor and a doctor by profession and I couldn't help but think this was something to do with my minority race (Indian) but I brushed it off since I never have felt discriminated like that before ( perhaps I was lucky so far or may be this was nothing to do with discrimination). But for a stupid $20 dollar. I felt foolish because I never keep the receipt with me and never ask for it. I learned it now and advise the customers to make sure you ask for receipts so you can throw it in their faces at the door if they dare become discourteous to you. They didn't pursue me seeing my face that they've upset me so much.Disgusted I walked out the door never to enter this place ever again.

I get the Gypsy skillet faithfully, my wife loves the biscuits and sausage gravy with bone in ham. They're usually so busy that we just order to go. It's always hot, never had any problems

Since moving to Jonesboro 3 years ago we've been looking for the comfort food that serve here. Open face roast beef sandwiches, club sandwiches. Service is swift and attentive. You can tell the "locals" love it as they seem busy with return customers.

The food was cold I had two eggs fried hard , gritz and a side of biscuits the biscuit would not even melt my butter! The hash browns tasted like they had been cooked on a dirty grill an hour so before . Now the eggs were perfectly cooked all done the way I like them. I warmed them up with the grits. Bacon was a bit over cooked . The waitress that took my order , we did not see her again until she brought the bill. The other two waitresses were kinda enough to offer to fill my coffee that was weak . Over all it was not worth the 32.00 dollars we paid . It was about 12.00 bucks to much.

Local dive specializing in diner style food. Service was "small town friendly". Place was about 80% capacity on a Saturday morning. Daughter got the chocolate chip waffle, wife and I tried "skillets" (she had the Corned Beef, and would have liked a little more of the meat). Mine was the Hobo Skillet. A hefty serving of hash browns with cheese, with two eggs cooked to taste (mine were scrambled), and a "side": toast, biscuit, grits or (get this) two pancakes! I had the biscuit...soft...not as dense as I prefer, eggs were folded (a little chewy), which brings us to the hash browns...these brought back memories! Crispy outside, tender inside and, oh, so greasy! I would suggest maybe adding a little seasoning to the potatoes. I try not to use too much table salt, but had to dose the food twice. About $50.00 for the three of us with beverages.

It's a nice average decor little cafe. The service was excellent and the food was really good, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I like that the food wasn't all greasy. The only recommendations I would give is to serve real butter and 100% maple syrup and that would put it over the top.

Large amounts of delicious food with fast, excellent service. It was our first time and we will definitely return!
