Have been back a few times since the last writing. Amazed this little gem is still usually not crowded.Reliably, in my settled judgement, the best Asian in Germantown. Yes, New Asia has been dethroned. Why? It's the consistency with, perhaps my developing bias for Taiwanese leaning Asian. And EMW does it fantastically. I've ventured across the menu, from the soy brined duck, to the braised chicken with ginger and wine, steamed pork belly with taro (the authentic section is excellent without being too far outside western taste or proclivity), or the, and despite its simplicity, the wonderful, chicken sauted with jalapeños, I haven't yet found a miss.Sure, sure, the standard hot and sour soup or kung pow chicken is, um, non-challenging or eye-opening, but the portions are generous and the quality top notch. The only detractor from the experience is the decor. It's a bit plain, perhaps minimalistic, but chalk that up to a family run joint that exists to serve great food rather than look good. In my book, the food and folks more than make up for it.

Had a fun night eating dinner here last night. It was girls night out! The restaurant is decorated with Asian decor and is known for authentic Taiwanese dishes. It is a very small eatery with tables and chairs. There is plenty of parking since the place is in a strip mall. There are many other businesses around. Our party was quite large and the restaurant was quite busy with patrons as well as many take out orders. The service was okay but not as fast since there was only one waitress taking orders. She was trying her best to get all of the orders out. My food was very tasty. The yellow curry had more of a gravy base than a soup base that I am normally accustomed to. The chicken was tender and the vegetables in the dish were cooked perfectly. The dish itself was seasoned well. The portion was reasonable and I took a third home. The sweet onions and a little spice gave the curry a nice flavor. I may come back at lunch time to try the lunch specials. All in all we had a great time.

Like others, this is our go-to Chinese restaurant in the area. I believe the owners are Taiwanese as there are a ton of Taiwanese style dishes on the menu. Speaking of which, we've never had any of the American style Chinese dishes on the menu so if that's your thing, I can't help with that. But their traditional ("authentic") dishes are all quite good... and not just Memphis good either. This food could stand up to any city in America. We've been there several times at this point. My favorites are the Taiwanese "snacks": fried pork chop or chicken over rice, pork over rice, etc. Also love their pork meatballs, pork and taro dish, pickled cabbage soup, singapore noodles, etc...I suspect there's not a bad dish on the menu. Service-wise... I'm not a fan. Same with the general ambiance (long waits while they service take-out, host watching tv while we eat, etc.)... It's unprofessional. But the food... you gotta love it.

We were looking forward to enjoying Thai but this is not a Thai restaurant, and they are not friendly. Hence, we left without eating. I do not dine nor spend my hard earned money in places that are unfriendly.

Someone recommended this to me. Thought I would give it a shot after seeing all the good reviews. But I hate to say this but the food is very mediocre. I was honestly disappointed. We had a few different things at our table. The braised beef noodle soup- it looks like a huge portion. But barely any noodles. The soup was super bland. The Peking duck was 45 dollars. Definitely was not impressed at all. I expected it to be crispier. Totally not worth it at all. Chicken pad Thai. Was interesting it's not your typical pad Thai. The taste wasn't there for meBraised pork rice bowl was meh. Again, very bland. Didn't care for it.Overall, service was very slow. But staff was nice. Also, everything is overpriced. Prob will not return and don't recommend. I def had better food elsewhere.

Was excited to try this place. Extremely slow service. It took an hour and 15 minutes to get our soups. When the soups came out, they were luke warm. The hibachi chicken was so burnt it was not edible. The fried rice and noodles were drenched in soy sauce and so salty. Huge waste of time and money. Would not recommend.
