Driftwood Lounge

So. There's something about doing simple things extraordinarily well. Like others we stopped based on the limited reviews and owner photos. Unlike others we had other plans. We planned to go to the Freight House. But Atlanta traffic had us arriving 10 minutes before they closed. So we called Driftwood and their kitchen closed later. So we came. We have younger preteen kids. Not allowed inside. But it was nice weather and their outdoor area has bags, seating and really cool well paint d motifs. The bartender tonight was attentive, kind, funny and competent. We ordered two ribeyes, a stir fry and a basic grilled cheese. Everything was great. And. No fault to Freight House-dirt cheap by comparison. For the price it was one of the best ribeyes I've ever eaten. No need for steak sauce. The stir fry was delicious too. Even the simple mac and cheese side of was done great. Food wise they KNOW what they're doing. If I lived here I would eat here regularly and the locals seem to know that. Not a Freight House. Doesn't need to be. This was great. Complaints. Post your menu. Anywhere. Never mind. I did. Stipulate that it's 21+ only inside. We have kids. It was nice weather. But if it wasn't I'd be pissed.

Don't let this bar fool you. It's a laid-back bar and my brother and sister wanted to go somewhere else. I said no It has a 4.9 rating and we were staying. Three of us had their large ribeye. Two were medium rare and one was medium. They were all cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious!!! My sister had the stir-fry with salmon and egg-roll. She said was delicious too! I would definitely recommend!! Five stars!!

Ummmm no. This is not a five star joint. Food is not bad. But 40 minutes for chili cheese fries? And the bartenders almost get in a fight? They have one register. Want to leave? Not so fast!Give me one second is quote of choice. Evidently we are in an Einstein theory of time and space joint because it seemed bend around the entire galaxy. Kountry Kastle next door is your best bet.

Third time through here! Convinced this is the best steak in all of Kentucky!! Owner was nice enough to let me try the ribs! Bought a slab to take home! Great place all the way around!

Do not judge this place by the way it looks. When you walk in it has an outdoor area that looks nice. It was chilly and they had a fire pit going. When we walked into the bar, we had to ask if they served food and boy do they. Thursday is steak night and for the price of $26 you get a 9oz ribeye cooked perfectly along with a salad and baked potato. All fantastic. My wife had the pork steak and it was fantastic. Best steak I have had in a long time!!! I had the creamed corn & green beans - both excellent!! Service was top notch - I just wish they had the appetizers they make - but next time I'll be getting that too! Drinks were great as well!

I found this gem by locals bragging about the food and atmosphere. Me being a hard one to please, I decided to go check this out. The Staff was super friendly when I arrived. Now before I got there I was told their Steaks are close to legendary, so I had to try one. The owner went to the back to hand carve it. I've eaten Steaks all over this great country, I am telling you this is one of the Best steaks I ever put in my mouth! Do not miss out on the homemade cream corn I had this as my side and it's to die for!!! Check out was fast and I will be coming back! Locals are blessed to have this place.

Great service, good bar. Fantastic ribeyes. Baked potatoes were even actually amazing (cooked long enough--often nowadays they are hard).

Very cool and laid back atmosphere! Tony is a great dude ! Love to go there and the bartenders are awesome, even tho I don't drink, I just get the food to go. His shrimp stir fry is amazing and so are the chicken tenders, I have more to try !!

After reading the few reviews, we decided to give this place a try. The parking lot made it look packed, and we almost chose to go somewhere else. We decided to give it a try anyway. We were greeted quickly, served almost immediately, and everyone was so dang nice. We ordered the ribeye and cream corn. It was SO good. We met lots of locals and chatted about the food. They recommended the ribeye, the stew (which was on special when we were there), the French dip, and the pizza. On Thursdays there's a steak special that we would absolutely come back for if we could. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try!
