Drapers Catering of Memphis

I 'stumbled' into a promotional event for Bridal events at MarriottCourtyard and related properties in downtown Memphis andwhat a surprise to discover how great this caterer is! The itemthat sticks in my memory (and on my hips) is the decadent4 (maybe 6?) layer cake that the youngest Draper prepared.It had everything from chcolate mousse to caramel to cheesecakeand my hips still remember! I dont know if brides in the south love rich -but in southern Califorinia this cake would be outlawed(Aa are smoker, people with one pound extra, etcetc). HOWEVER,Connor Draper who is all of l8 really did an amazing job-and thestory of how his parents got into the business is really fascinating-no time. But the did elope on the east coast many years agoand came to Memphis in a totally different profession-but the Memphinians are lucky!

Working with Matt Draper and team to develop menu and plans was very easy, very professional, and noticeably better than the other companies we called. Matt, contrary to others, understood what we had in mind, guided with suggestions and didn't try to push us into extra food or expense. The ability to come in a week or so later and taste a variety of options helped really seal the deal. Even conversations about final guest count and payment was smooth.The day of the wedding, Drapers arrived as expected and quickly got busy. I'm wondering if we got the JV team because one of the guys spent the evening with pink headphones on his ears and little things like serving the sheet cakes (strawberry & chocolate) prior to, or at least with the decorated vanilla wedding cake was not understood. These two minor items are the primary blemishes on an otherwise very good meal, superb post-dinner cleanup, and overall experience do not change my strong endorsement for contracting with Draper's. As a post note, we had 130 RSVP and should have planned for 90% attendance since some had last minute emergencies or needed to leave without eating much. Please let me know if you would like to stop by for a bite...we have extras. :-)

Draper's really is completely top notch! I contacted them about catering my daughter's cheer gym's end of season event. Matt Draper helped me build a fantastic menu, tweak items to make sure they had mass appeal since there would be lots of kids in attendance, and was so open & communicative throughout the whole process. The day-of team was so professional and helpful. They took care of everything! I only heard rave reviews from everyone about their food. We will definitely reach out to them for our future catering needs!

Used Drapers for our wedding and was over the moon. Good and service was first class. Highly recommend!

My husband and I hired Drapers to do the catering for our wedding, and we were so happy with them. We met early in the planning stages with them, and tried to get tastings and meetings with other caterers in the area, but the local competition just didn't compare, at least not for a wedding. We had trouble with other local caterers having little to no flexibility when scheduling tastings, and often the menus were confusing or not very appealing. Drapers was so easy to work with! They were very easy to schedule meetings with around our busy work schedules, and they really spent a lot of time answering all of our questions. Also, we made a few adjustments throughout the process, and they were quick to adjust and readjust according to our budget. Additionally, they were very cool about letting us provide our alcohol on our own and even helped with the cocktail recipes we chose. On the big day, the food was wonderful. We had some basics, like veggies, fruit, & cheese, and they made the display look like a work of art. For the main dishes, we had a grilled cheese station as well as a few other random things that appealed to us, and our guests RAVED about the food. Wonderful food and wonderful people to work with. I would absolutely recommend them again and again.

Drapers Catering made my wedding such a breeze! Matt Draper contacted me directly if there was ever a problem and made it so easy to get things done. Matt even took the time to go over ever detail and even checked on us the day after to see how it went. We dropped off all our alcohol for the wedding and they kept it cold, and brought it with them! The food was phenomenal and you better believe we ate at our wedding! Thank you so so much! I HIGHLY recommend them for any of your catering needs!!! 10 stars!!!!!!!

We called them last minute for a celebration of life catering job and they were fantastic. Marlowe took my call, helped me with ideas and budgeting, and was very helpful and friendly. The food was delivered when promised and it was a huge help to the family. I highly recommend Draper's Catering and would definitely use them again!

I cannot get over how delicious and gorgeous the food from Draper's Catering was. Their staff is also incredible to work with!

We had Draper's cater our daughter's after wedding brunch at our home. The staff was fantastic and hilarious. So helpful with service and cleaning up. They did everything and more. But the food was...... Wow. Everything we could hope for. All the leftovers were boxed up and ready for us to enjoy the next day. We want to thank Draper's again and cannot recommend them enough

We have had our after Thanksgiving holiday dinner catered by Drapers for the late 3 years and will certainly continue. Our guests rave about the quality and flavor and there are always great leftovers. They take great care in getting everything right from the rolls to the deserts. Great selection and a wide variety of entrees and sides. The chocolate cake is to die for and I love the banana pudding. We appreciate the personal touch and their commitment to making sure everything is perfect.
