Dora Express Japanese Food

Pros:The food was actually really good and it was cheap to the point of me thinking the price was a typo. The cashier was friendly. Food came pretty quickly. Cons: The table felt sticky like the varnish had been cleaned with something it shouldn't have. The drinks are in cans instead of fountain drinks, so no refills. The service is set up exactly like McDonalds; you place your order at the counter, pay, and then go get it on a tray when it's ready. It's good food but they serve like a fast food place. That's why I subtracted a star. Need to at the very least bring the trays out since they have a smaller dining room and staff just hanging around. Would eat there again 100%

Upon entering this restaurant for the first time, the first thing I experienced was the smell of cleaning solution in the foyer. Thankfully, as I moved further into the restaurant the wonderful aroma of Japanese food filled the air. Two employees at the ordering counter greeted us, although they didn't smile. They were both a bit somber for whatever reason. Anyways, the menu is right at the counter where we both ordered hibachi chicken. The meals come with fried rice and sautéed vegetables. Reasonably priced at $8.50 per plate, our food was good. Included in the sautéed vegetables are onions, zucchini, carrots, and broccoli with a flavorful sauce. The fried rice has scrambled eggs mixed in and unfortunately, I got a tiny fragment of egg shell in one bite. As for the hibachi chicken, it was flavorful and not over cooked. Beverages are canned or in plastic to-go cups, as well as meals are served in plastic to-go containers. The eating utensils are also plastic. So even though it is a sit down restaurant, service is set up as a fast food eatery. This is fine considering the prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is very casual. We will eat there again.

Hibachi combinations are great as always. Trying sushi another day. Everyone likes this place so it's often busy. Call ahead.

Absolutely terrible. They were nice, but sushi was off temperature, by a LOT. They did take it back, I declined a remake. We didn't say anything, but the seafood was so overdone and rubbery it was unbelievable. Actually wondering if they are using a microwave for it. Didn't taste right at all. Just like salt, salt and more salt. Spent over $70 for one of the worst meals I have had in years. Won't be back. All meals were packed in styrofoam and served on plastic trays. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone who wants Japanese or even edible food.

The vegetables were good but the so called "steak" was cooked to a rubber like consistency. The shrimp were also rubbery and overcooked. I didn't care for the "stand in line to order then retrieve your own food" format. Had the food been outstanding, maybe, but it wasn't worth the trouble as it is. Sorry, but probably no return from us.

Surprisingly, good Japanese food in Batesville, Arkansas of all places. The food is great. Limited service but ample seating and Pleasant atmosphere.

Food is great and service is great. I love Dora's! I will go back again and again. Great place to grab a decent priced meal with great variety of Japanese food.

You walk up and order your food. They give you a buzzer to let you know when it's ready. Nice atmosphere not too fancy but great food for a reasonable price.

Food is great! They are fast, too. The people are nice and place looks clean and tidy.

The food is ok not great. I hate eating out of styrofoam and cans and using plastic forks. The staff is neutral most of the time but can be a little snappy at times. There is no one waiting on you. It could be made into a great Resturant with a few changes.
