The restaurant is a family owned gem that couples a classic hit as the DJ special with a sleek menu of other fresh options. The service is unparalleled and the wait staff know how to rock that Latin flair. Tasty salsa and drinks, they now serve adult beverages to compliment they're commitment to excellence. I can barely remember the last time I had this much fun in a restaurant.

Haven't spent a great deal of time up here in Jonesboro but my ex and her kids live here and since it was on my way back from N.Alabama, thought I'd stop in and see them. They suggested Don Jose as a nice place to go have Mexican food and it was. They have very colorful booths and cultural music playing. Not many were there at 3 p.m. A pretty big menu with lots of combo plates await the diner. Again, the regular table salsa is nice..if you like bland, un-exciting red sauce..I had to ask for their 'picante' bowl and it gave my mouth the warmth I expect/I chose the Enchiladas Suprema, four rolled corn tortillas with beef, chicken, cheese and beans topped by a so-so enchilada sauce, cheese, lettuce and sour cream. I was so hungry that I cleaned my plate. Nikki, my ex, got a chicken enchilada and the kids got quesadillas. Oh, the smallest of our bunch got a cheesburger and fries..the burger actually tasted better than any fast food burger I've had.The best thing on the menu is the Fried Ice Cream with Sopapilla, a flour tortilla deep fried and topped with honey, butter and cinnamon. Outrageously good. The whole bill for the five of us was $39.75. It's not the best Mexican food but it's not bad either. A nice little family place to dine!!

Have excellent salsa! The best I've ever had! It's lunch time so there was an extensive wait time...I think we waited a little too long so I deducted stars for waiting...food was delicious never the less..

This restaurant was recommended to us. The food was so so, the waiter was rude, slow on drink refills. I asked for more chips several times and our waiter just ignored us. When we paid our bill, I asked about the chips and was told they don't offer refills, really?! The waiter could have taken the time tell us that, then offer us the option to place an order for more! Would not recommend this restaurant at all.

Has to be the worst fake mexican food in town, right behind Ta'Molly's. I can't understand the popularity of this place other than the locals haven't ever had good mexican food. This is another in a long line of mexican food places in town with a vat of horrible white cheese sauce in the kitchen that like others in town use to cover their tasteless food with.

I love Don Jose's. Great prices, even better service. Try the milanesa, it's the best in town! Hidden gem in Jonesboro. Will be back soon!
