Dixieland BBQ

If you have an hour to kill in the beautiful town of Batesville, MS then this is your place. Rolled up on a Saturday afternoon. There were about 5 cars in line ahead of us. It took close toan hour to get food. We waited. Weren't even mad about it. At a point you just decide to wait it out once you're vested. Ya know, You just become ok. The sweet lady at the DT window takes one order at a time, rotates and yells it at the kitchen, takes your money, then waits until your food is ready and gives it to you. Then she waits on the next inside person inside repeating the same process. Back and forth from the counter to the DT. Pretty inefficient method that explains the long wait. There can't be much more economical than this. A half rack of ribs and two sides for $14. What the actual fuck? That is insane for March of 2024! A sandwich, side, and a drink for $7?!?!? Anyway. The bbq "meat" itself was pretty good. I had higher hopes for some good all around BBQ but the sauce just glopped it all up man. I didn't like it all and neither did the bride. Ribs were well cooked. Like I said the sauce was bad, and they were covered in it. It has gel like thing about it. It's sweet and like jelly.... Hard to explain. Beans were fair. White bread. Sandwich was impossible to eat as a sandwich. It just mushed under the weight of the copious amounts of jelly sauce and slaw. She just kind of got it in there with the foil it was inIf I came back I would ask for no sauce or at least get it on the side. '24 - 25/100

The food was so delicious! Reasonable prices and really good. We were looking for a place that had authentic bbq and for us, this was it. Service was great and so was the food. We will definitely be back!

Great Smokey flavor, good sides and friendly staff. Always delicious and a quick pick-up!

Sat outside and enjoyed our food. Great service. Fast and efficient. $10 with two sides.

Decent bbq. Guys were out back loading in wood for the smoker when we arrived. Small vestibule to order then eat outside or take home. Service was a bit off. They also charge $2 for refills on drinks which is pretty 1990. Lady said they had to cover the higher cost to syrup then proceeded to use new cups which I doubt they get free. Was a very weird exchange. Probably wouldn't come back.

It's not the absolute best BBQ I have ever had, but definitely the best in the area. The employees are fantastic too! The prices went up, like everything else... a bit higher than they needed to be. Sometimes the ribs are too fatty. The potato salad is awful, store bought mess. But the coleslaw and beans are really good. Plus, they have THE BEST sweet tea in town!

Awesome food! Great sauce! Friendly service and good location. Give them a try! They also do catering. I usually use the drive-thru which is super convenient.

Very very good. We were in town visiting family. Whenever we get to Batesville, we always go to Dixieland BBQ. My hubby got the banana pudding and it wasn't the best. Maybe just a bad day for it? It wont stop us from going back.

My coworker and I spend money quite often at this place, but I am highly disappointed today. I ordered two half orders of chicken nachos. When I received my receipt I realized I was charged for pork nachos instead. When given the food, I simply asked if I was given chicken or pork because we asked for chicken. The lady at the window proceeds to tell me that I just ordered nachos, that I didn't say either so they gave me pork. I said no ma'am, I asked for two half orders of chicken nachos with jalapeños. The lady in charge comes to the window with attitude says, we will start your order over completely. I had to give my card back to her, she refunded me and then rang me up for the right order. She then proceeds to tell me that next time I needed to tell my order several times to the lady in the window, so this doesn't happen again. As if it was my fault. Poor service is not how to keep customers.The nachos were not good or worth the $25.00 spent. The chips were very stale and there were more cheese than chicken or chips. Just overall disappointed!!

I ordered the brisket. I showed it to them that it was very dry. No refund they said that's how it's supposed to be . Sorry but brisket is not DRY.
