Dixie Queen

The meal I had here seemed just decent. It could have easily been much better or much worse.I ordered the double cheeseburger with chili cheese fries and the upside down pineapple shake.The burger was cooked to perfection but I wish there was more meat. I may order a triple next time. The chili cheese fries had way too much cheese on it and the cheese was low quality. The shake had very acidic pineapples in it.I may return but I am in no rush.

Food is always hot and fresh. Love the spicy fries. Great for late nite food! The lemon pepper wings are delicious.

Staff is rude half the time.. joking & playing most times. Food is good though. Order is always right. Wings arent what they used to be. DQ used to be a MUST HAVE, now it's kind of like.. eh, last resort fast food..

This Dixie Queen really really prepares your food the right way. This is one of the faster Dixie Queens in the city. I get my food in less than ten minutes sometimes.

This one is a subpar location. If you're planning on dining inside and/or ordering face to face at a counter, that option is out of the equation, for management only serves drive thru customers. The burgers and fries are what they are, run of the mill grease joint quality. For soft serve ice cream and desserts, I'd rather go to another place like a Dairy Queen. I haven't gone to the Raffanti run Dixie Queen down in Southaven, but these Hood locations leave a lot to be desired from the quality of the franchises had a few years ago.

Always loved this place on Shelby Drive but sadly disappointed today. Got there and the line was almost in the street, so I figured that meant fresh. Never had a problem with the food. Ordered a double cheese burger combo and nacho with a shake. Got home 3 minutes later, food cold lettuce on nachos not fresh and chili was cold. Seasoned fries cold. Thirty minutes after eating me and my spouse started feeling nauseous. Thinking oh no not food poisoning!! Both of us upchucked the dinner and struck them off of of our go to burger joint. Awful!!

Is there a possible way to give 0 stars? The line is ALWAYS long, no lights around the area so it's sketchy at night. Service... it's there, but you're talking to a person witness an attitude (can't even describe their attitudes). The food, it's good. But I can make it at my house, I go there because it's supposed to be convenient. I just dread every time I think of getting food at this location and would rather go to McDonald's and Taco Bell down the street. Save yourself the time. This craps been going on since it came to the location.

My issue is with several different things. Over the past 3-4 years this is some key issues. 1. ordered an upside down banana split ... these people do not even use the right kind of toppings (keeping it cheap) the pineapple they put on it was straight from the can, tangy and not sweet. 2. I ordered a hot dog with cole slaw, mustard, relish, it was covered in the stuff, then I realized why. The hotdog was deep fried to a shrivel, awful. 3. I ordered a $4.99 hot dog combo with a cherry coke. Was told they only have pepsi products and they are all regular, "we do not have cherry anything" i said, well you have cherry syrup that you use in the slushes, right. SILENCE SILENCE SILENCE, your total is $6.53 pull around. So at the window ... Me: why is it so much, Her: well you asked for cherry syrup didn't you, that's extra, Me: okay but you gonna charge me a $1.00 for a half ounce of syrup, No thank you, bye!! Sonic don't even charge a dollar for extra's and they have a much better soda. This location is for the birds, I am never going back there again, someone called this location SUBPAR in a previous review, I totally agree. They (the owner, managers, staff) should go hang out at the Mt. Moriah location and learn how it is done. In 20 years, I have never had a problem with them. You know when you trying to run out on lunch break, sit in drive thru 10-15 minutes, you're probably hoping for the best but this place does not know how to deliver anything but mess!!!!
