Went on a recommendation while we were in town. The brisket melts in your mouth!! Ribs are fall off the bone good. Service is impeccable! Was so good, we had to go back a second time! Even brought some back to AZ with us!

+5 more stars! The best BBQ we have ever had and have had amazing BBQ from Georgia and Alabama. Ribs were perfectly smoke, moist and tender and very little fat. We had the brisket and pulled pork too - delicious and we would drive the 5 hours back for this delicacy. Sides we also enjoyed were okra, Cajun fries, baked beans (the absolute best) and slaw. To top it off the staff were fast, efficient and kind!

We were on a "SEC Football road trip" traveling between Columbia, MO and Oxford, MS. We happened to pass through Dexter on the way south at lunch time and ran across Dexter BBQ. I think that if I lived there, I'd be eating lunch there everyday. The pork ribs, brisket and pulled pork were awesome, and there's free soft-serve ice cream with every meal order. Very reasonable prices and the counter service was friendly. There was even a big-screen TV with football on to complete the ambiance. My kinda of lunch place

Good Food! Cleanliness! Service!!! Just overall a friendly and homely environment!!! Easy parking and well lit parking lots!!! I recommend either eating in or they do have a drive through.

I've traveled around at of the US and dexter bbq (dexter location) will always be my go to for the best pulled pork nachos. They've always offered great service, as well as friendly. It gets pretty busy inside at lunch but they get tables cleaned quickly. If you eat inside the restaurant you also get your own self serve ice cream! No complains here!

Really neat place, definitely wasn't what I expected and was pleasantly surprised. Ribs were great and prices were nice. The service was quick and everyone was friendly. If you're in Dexter Missouri and bbq is what you want you gotta stop by.

Very good bbq sandwich. Has several different flavors of bbq sauce to choose from. Restaurant is clean and decent location. Prices are a bit on the higher side but you get what you pay for! Ribs are good but some on the dryer side. Overall I give it a B. Enjoy

Our party of four from the Atlanta area stopped in for a late lunch after the 2024 eclipse. Like any self respecting BBQ restaurant should have, the air in the parking lot was redolent with hardwood smoke. We ordered at the counter and found a table in the large dining area. After a drive delayed by heavy traffic and inexplicable extra crews filling interstate highway potholes, being served a few minutes late a large brisket sandwich with slaw on it and a choice of four BBQ sauces on the table was a little slice of a different kind of heaven than the celestial one we just witnessed. Two of the others in our party shared a large combo and one got a chopped pork platter. Everyone commented how much they enjoyed the food.After watching commentary and images of the eclipse as it tracked across the US and Canada, we began the long trek home with full bellies and smiles on our faces.The food was great, the dining room was clean and the service was fast.
