Foods always good. This location isn't quite as good as the one on SW drive but both have better bbq than anyone else in town. Never had bad service at either location.

Service was great and the price was definitely reasonable for a bbq lunch. I had the pulled pork and just wasn't impressed I went because I was told this was a local place with great bbq I left unimpressed. So far in my quest for "Great" bbq I'm still going to have to cross the bridge into Memphis.

On our way from Louisiana to Iowa, while trying to avoid the Memphis traffic from a closed bridge over the Mississippi, we got very very lucky. We wound our way up through Arkansas, and drove through Jonesboro. At the north end of Jonesboro, we had bookmarked a restaurant that would be about an hour from our day's end...Demo's Smokehouse & BBQ. We passed by many named restaurants that we knew, but we always look for something different, and that's what we found. When we got ready to leave, I had to poke my head in the kitchen to ask if I could kiss the cook, because I have never had smoked chicken that was so moist and tender. One bite of that chicken, and I was smiling and "mmm mm mmmh-ing" and nodding my head. I've had smoked chicken in KC, in Memphis, in St. Louis, in Georgia, in Kentucky, and points south, and I would put this chicken up against all the rest. I now have a new life goal....being able to reproduce Demo's chicken on my own smoker. He had the three meat combo, with 3 ribs, beef, and chicken, with onion rings and fries. He claimed the ribs were just as good, but would not share, so I cannot swear to it. The coleslaw and beans were perfect...not over seasoned, and I wish I could have finished them. Demo's, we salute you.

I believe this is a local chain, or they may just have another restaurant here in town. It seemed a little more authentic than other chain restaurants. You order basic BBQ options (choice of meat plates or sandwiches) and fill your own fountain drink. Pick up food quickly from the other window. Simple. Food was good, nothing to complain about or write home about either. Served on styrofoam plates with plastic forks. Wood decor. Lots of booths along the wall, and some tables. Two sauces on the tables; one was a little hotter but not excessive, the other slightly tangier. I preferred the second. I had pork with baked potato and fries on the side and I only had a few bites of potato and about half the pork, so portions are generous. Service was fine and the restaurant was clean. Ladies room had only two stalls and no diaper changing station :( but it was nicely kept up and had a modern look with nice new sinks and faucets. I'd go again but would probably prefer to try something else first next time in town.

Great place. Meat is not full of fatty pieces. Great flavor. Baked beans and potato salad is great as well.

Great BBQ. Not quiet the same as 10 years ago but easily still the best in Jonesboro.

Summary: From the smell to the food to the tea to the atmosphere, this place defines BBQ.Having moved to Jonesboro from Memphis, I have to admit walking into Demo's with low expectations. After all, could a place in Jonesboro be on par with the places in Memphis?Yes. Yes it can.The moment I walked into Demos and inhaled the sweet, wooden smell I knew I was in for something good. The entire place looked like I expect from a good BBQ place: no frills, no fancy tablecloths, paper towels on the table. I had the beef and pork...and it was just as flavorful as anything I had in Memphis. The spicy BBQ sauce was filled with flavor and had just the right amount of bite. The sweet tea is like nectar of the gods.Bottom line: If you want BBQ in Jonesboro, and you don't want to risk getting bad BBQ, this is the place to go.

This is my favorite BBQ place. Nice parking lot and cool building that is equally as cool in the inside. Very neat details like bucket lights and reclaimed wood features. Lots of attention to detail. Simple and affordable menu with several options and great priced kids meals. I typically get brisket, pulled pork or chicken with beans. The beans are the best! Most BBQ places have meats that are way to smokey tasting. Not this one. It is just right. They also make their own BBQ sauce which is yummy. The service is always so fast. By the time we finish ordering and paying at the counter our food is typically ready in the pick up window. Also available are family packs of meat, buns, sauce, and fixings. Another service they offer is to smoke/cook the meat you bring in. We even had them smoke our turkey for thanksgiving and it was PERFECT! we will do that every year. So much better than frying, smoking or baking at home.

Dry and flavor less. Recommended by a co-worker, and I am still feeling sorry I tried it.It felt like I was eating Sandy leather shoes.
