Loved the fair this year! The only thing that was a disappointment was there was no Ring of Fire, Sky-wheel, YoYo, Rock it 360 and no Hurricane ride. Overall very fun! I just hope they bring some of the classic rides back but overall loved it! I know they'll be back again next year. #DeltaFair2024

We went here on Senior Day 2021. Opened early at 9am. Talent shows, dance teams and plenty of arts and crafts. Lots of giveaways and offers focused on the senior community. The midway opened early as well. Plenty of food vendors. Some good and some not so good. Lots of thrill rides and souvenirs. There was a petting zoo. And so many things to do and see.

Every year i come to the Delta Fair. I don't really get on any of the rides but i enjoy the different games that are challenging and the food of course. Turkey legs, fried oreos, funnel cakes, Pronto pups! This is a staple of Memphis for one whole week and it is fun to just do something different for the weekend. Usually if you arrive before 6pm its $10. After 6pm they raise the price to $15. So get in early and enjoy the rest of the Fair. Like they say: Early bird gets the worm!

We have been several times, this year was a thumbs down for us. They changed the rides vendor, and the rides this year largely look from the sixties. You had to be 36" to ride anything, even the carousel, my youngest isn't quite there yet and was very disappointed. We will try again next year. If it is the same as this year, we are done with the delta fair.

I'm with the previous posters regarding the food -- it's awesome. However, I'm one of those 'crazy animal lovers'. So, really, 'pig wrestling'? Where a bunch of people form teams to chase and grapple with a pig that has no real concept of what's going on, other than a pile-on. Inhumane, sorry. Combine that with the ostrich racing, rodeo, and the pig racing -- you'd have to work hard to convince me that those poor animals are having a good time. And tractor pulls? There's music and magic shows, but the lack of concern for the animals sours the experience for me.

I'm with Noelle on this one. I heard so much about this fair, and if I said I wasn't excited to see monkeys riding dogs and people riding ostriches I would be lying. Then I arrived here. Those poor animals! I wanted to cry when they brought the monkeys out in silk pajamas and jockey outfits with huge chains around their necks. The dogs looked seriously confused, and it ended up not really being a race at all because they had to chain the two dogs together. I have to assume simply because they had no clue what was going on, and it cannot really be safe to have them entrusted to race a monkey to a finish line on their backs. The ostriches were even worse. Grown men riding on their backs?! Even worse? Grown men being pulled in carts behind the large birds. Ugh! It killed me. All the while people hooting and hollering along the side lines. I couldn't even bring myself to watch the pig wrestling. That would have brought me to tears. How is this entertainment?!Animals aside- it cost us 9 bucks a head to get in here and 5 bucks to park. Every drink was no less than 3 bucks and one guy wanted to charge me 6 bucks for a hunk of chicken on a stick. No thanks. We were dying to try fried snickers and fried cookie dough. I could barely contain myself while waiting in that long line. We each had one bite and threw it away. FYI- cookie dough is awful deep fried and snickers taste stale and are the weirdest texture inside that gooey layered coating. The pronto pup? Its a superbly long corn dog. Nothing special, its just big and on a stick. And while I will argue that everything tastes better on a stick, this didn't really live up to its hype. In fact, I was so seriously let down by the carnival food this year it was a little bit scary. I don't know if I have outgrown my love of carnival food or if perhaps this carnival food just sucked big time. We walked the entire length of this place- its huge. The only thing I couldn't get is why it was so huge. It was the same 10 food and drink vendors and same 5 carnival games over and over and over and over. The rides? They have a ton. The real question is would I entrust a ride that is continually taken down and reassembled every 2 or 3 weeks in another state....by a carnie. I don't know if you've ever gotten up close to a carnie, but most times they are a tad bit scary and smell like a mixture of smoke and liquor. I won't be entrusting my family's lives on the zipper or that large gravitational space ship in which the force sucks you to the wall and the bottom drops out. I'm good. They do have some cool vendors inside a large building that is air conditioned, but it wasn't worth the entrance fee or the hassle of parking and dealing with the crowds. I probably won't be back to this fair- or any fair for that matter- simply because it still breaks my heart to see those ostriches, monkeys and dogs in my head.

It's NOT what it used to be. There are no actual adult rides. It's just kiddie rides and food stands. Not worth it at all. What happened?!?! I was looking forward to this and it's such a disappointment.
