This place has the potential to be very good! I got the beef tips & rice with yams and turnip greens. The flavor was there but its almost like they hold back with the salt and pepper a little too much. I understand that they want to cater to a majority but when you don't cook with certain spices it is very noticeable. This place is very small (A Hole In The Wall If You Will) but its clean. The biggest problem I found is the lack of employee/owner warmth. This is absolute key for soul food. The people working here just seem like you are annoying them. Its very unfortunate because again this place has so much potential. In my opinion ... A little attitude adjustment and a pinch of extra spices this place could have five stars. I do recommend trying it for yourself. When you consider whats available around this area its worth a try. They also have sooooo many options. On my grading scale I give them a solid B With some small management changes they could be an A+

Never disappoints. I love Daisy's Restaurant. I've been going for years. Dine in is available. It's more of a cafeteria type restaurant. The turkey wings are to die for, I also love the lasagna. I've been had a bad experience.

Spaghetti was sweet tasting and also the dressing. Everyone don't like sweet dressing and spaghetti. The dressing was dry and floury, even with gravy on it. The food is good, I get plates every weekend but please cut down on the sugar.

Pretty good place! Lots of options so will have to come back a few times to try other things. Start off by saying that I never would have stopped by if not for the power of people. JUST this morning someone started a thread on Twitter for people to discuss best places to eat in town. Scrolling through the list I made mental notes of options to try. Well, running an errand at lunch heading down 3rd street and out of the corner of my eye I see the sign for Daisy's. Hey wait, I remember reading about them this morning! (Daisy's wasn't on yelp before this). I decided to turn around and grab some lunch to go back to work. Again, I likely never would have thought twice to stop in if not for the twitter discussion. They open at 11 every day (closed Saturday) so perfect timing! It was 10:58. I parked and got in line outside (just a handful of other folks waiting on this soul food goodness). They were running behind and didn't open until about 11:10 I was okay on time but some others had to leave. You order at the counter and the food is doled out cafeteria style, and you pay at the end. I heard someone asking about fried chicken (not out yet) so I asked about how long. Just 5 minutes? Sure, I can wait!Once it was ready the lady called me up to jump back in line (not having to wait until the end). Got some dark meat fried chicken, and spaghetti and mac n cheese for my sides (not healthy at all today). Paid for my meal and headed back to the office. Food was good y'all! Fried chicken done really well, mac n cheese was really tasty, and the spaghetti had a good meat sauce to it. Oh, and good portions. I'm full! There's a decent amount of seating inside. I'd say probably half of a little more were grabbing to go and the rest eating in. A little bit of parking outside. While waiting on the chicken to get ready, the line was pretty busy, going through the lunch rush, but they get you in and out pretty quick through the line. Since they are pretty close to work, I'll definitely be back to try other things. I don't know if it's a place I'd travel to specifically if I was on the far side of town, but if you're close by it's a great option for lunch!

This has been one of my favorite places for years when it comes to soul food. However, the food has become nasty and expensive. I purchased string beans that were loaded with black pepper, the pork chop was dry, it was loaded with gravy but that did not improve the dryness. I am very disappointed. A waste of time and money....I have had several experiences with the food not being right but always went back. After today I AM DONE, unless I hear the food has improved.

Hole in the wall local soul food place. Excellent mac and cheese, creamy and flavorful. One of the best ones I have had. Thursday is turkey Wing day with excellent brown gravy. Delicious cabbage and potatoes. The corn muffins were delicious but burnt on bottom but that was minor. Staff and owner were so kind. You will not be sorry!
