Cypress Grove Nature Park

This place has the potential to be very beautiful and has some great spots to capture pretty pictures. It has an abandoned feel to it though and could definitely use more attention. A park ranger or staff person on site could help make it feel safer and while there have been obvious repairs made, the boardwalk itself could use some love.

Great park made for an excellent morning stroll! Except when a group of teens came and were extremely loud! We saw owls, hawks, snakes, turtles, and other critters I don't know the name of!!! Helpful Hint: bring some bug spray and spray it on you before you start walking!

Of course, it's a 5-star experience especially for being a free public park!I'm sure it depends on the weather, but on a sunny 84° day like we had, it was a most pleasant stroll through the woods! I'm always open for a hike with a small child that keeps you on a boardwalk for the entire journey. At the end of the boardwalk, past the lake, it looks like you can exit the boardwalk for a ground trek.What a pretty place for portraits.

A great place to walk and enjoy nature. In the fall, you can see migrating geese and ducks. The boardwalks make the experience easy and safe for kids.
