Countryand Western Steakhouse

Finally tried the new location, and it's beautiful! High ceilings and everything is classy and trendy. It's not your grandfather's Country and Western. While there is some charm that's sadly gone from the old, long-standing location, this one is built with more modern designs and amenities. I had to go for the old faithful catfish dinner. I always loved their catfish filet meal, but since they've returned, they seem to somehow have made it even better than it was before. The 4 pieces you get here provide more fish than 5-6 pieces at other places. They are huge, wonderful filets. They also have, hands down, the best vinegar slaw I've ever had. Before you call the white beans bland, try seasoning them with salt and pepper to your taste, because I think they come as a blank canvas as a strategy, not a mistake. Solid fries. Great hush puppies. This meal hits the spot more than any in Camden, in my opinion, but there is a catch. The 4 piece meal will set you back $18. As a matter of fact, if you look over the menu, it's probably got the most expensive items in Camden. While they try to honor the tradition of the old Country and Western with a moderately priced and seriously great buffet, they are obviously stretching their boundaries and attempting to offer some more upscale options. This will obviously turn some people off, but I applaud them for their willingness to be bold and bring more options to Camden. There's something for everyone at Country and Western.

Was in your restaurant today for lunch. It was not very busy when we got there. Waitress took our order- mine Cbeeseburger & fries, hubby had Cajun chicken sandwich & fries. It took over 20 minutes to receive our order. Watched several tables getting their food but not ours. I was getting a bit upset wondering where our food was. Had to flash down our waitress to ask about the order and she came back a few minutes later and said it's on its way. I got mine but hubby's wasn't ready yet. I ask for a Manager and told her the problem. She said that they (other servers) that don't come back to table after drinks are served for 20 minutes. Said it's not a fast food place. Said the chicken takes longer and I said I understood BUT she insisted the standards of not coming to table even just to let us know it's almost ready! BAD customer service and I'm not pleased at all! On another note went there for Easter brunch and they didn't even serve gravy for mashed potatoes or turkey!Not good either! Will never go back!!!

Attended a funeral luncheon today and they totally screwed everything up. They forgot they double booked room so they tried to set up another section of restaurant for us while we all stood around. Some people left discussed. Food was room temperature. The owners sat out on the patio enjoying their lunch while we waited. They acted oblivious to what was happening around them. This will be our last visit to the Country Western.

My wife and I came back two days after first finding this hidden gem. Autumn our server was on point, attentive and sharp. Super friendly too!! The Queen, Ms Wanda came by our table to make sure we had enough of the good stuff and we did! Both Ladies are very customer orientated and very knowledgeable. If you are looking for great Southern Cooking with even better Southern Hospiality, come spend a lot of time and little money at the C&W restaurant in Camden, TN. Tell them Ed & Anna sent ya!!!

We went three times and each time the food did not improve. They had meatloaf out that was not in slices. The meatloaf looked like somebody had just taken chopped up hamburger and threw ketchup on top. On more than one occasion the food was just very poor Quality and My Husband demanded we leave more than once, we brought this to the attention of the manager unfortunately, I just cannot recommend this place.

Great food and service! We had the sirloin tips and fried catfish and both were amazing. But leave room for dessert and a drink. The skillet cookies are fantastic and cooked fresh for you. and the spicy margarita and strawberry margarita were the best we've ever had. Our waitress Tracy was great!

Horrible... Did not receive the French fries.... white beans were just MUSH, little dab in a cup of Cole slaw. The Cole slaw was very good (the 2 tsp.) we received. $39.00 for 2 ...3 piece catfish dinners. The previous owner would have been sooo dissatisfied if anyone had been served a meal such as this. No apologies for not including the fries. This was at one time my favorite...go to... restaurant.When speaking with other customers ....I was advised..... they certainly do not care to have repeat customers by the treatment their customers receive from Country and Western Restaurant owners.SAD

This place I would not visit again. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, the 1st dish I ordered was loaded with salt. They gave me a supposedly fresh one to take home. When I ate it, I started vomiting. When I saw the Dr, he said I had food poisoning. As I had not eaten out in days, this was the only place I could've gotten it from. I have not eaten at this place since.
