Not sure what to say! Have always enjoyed this place but made the mistake of getting a fish plate to go! So disappointed is the price compared to quantity! Can't say I'll make that mistake again! Long history of high priced meals but now the food has declined as well! Next time I want catfish I'll head to TN of Belmont

Maintaining a high quality service or product for three or four decades is not an impossible feat for businesses. The biggest hurdle for restaurants to clear in maintaining quality, is to keep the personnel replenished with top notch cooks and wait staff. The Country Squire has been around for decades. We recently dined here and were disappointed. The Squire is known for fresh cut steaks, where they bring the steak table side and you tell them how thick. The NY Strip we got wasn't from the fresh cut option. The steak was encased with fat. From a 16 oz steak there was probably a 5 oz pile of discarded fat on the plate. The steak was very bland, even being cooked over a pit, there was only a slight hint of char and absolutely no salt/seasoning prior to being cooked. The NY Strip at Ruby Tuesday has more flavor and is butter tender. The baked potato at the Squire was old and had a very off putting taste. Upon being seated you are served complimentary hush puppies (very tasty). The walls are covered with "pea gravel" harvested locally. Our experience here was a huge disappointment, but we were expecting something we had each received 20+ years ago. *I was informed that there have been new owners that have taken over the Country Squire just two weeks ago. We may give them a few weeks or couple of months to sort out things and give them another try. The owner is the same person that owns The Rib Shack, in Corinth and Tupelo, and the Waterway Grill, in Burnsville.

Super small town town service. Dining room is small with grill right in the room but somehow it works. Steak was cooked to perfection and the salad bar was fresh. Will definitely come back.

I always enjoy the country squire ' s ribeye and salad bar. It's not real fancy, but that just adds to the reason I like it so much! A great place to relax with some good food and friendly service!

Worst experience at a restaurant in a long time. I grew up eating at this place. But new owners took it over. We were a party of 9. It Took 30 minutes to get our order taken. Another hour to get half of our parties food. It took my wife another 30 plus minutes or so after I was done eating for her and my son to get there food. 3 people waited so long that they had to get theirs to go. Awful service will not be back..

The building on the outside about made us turn around, and the yelp map is incorrect, but good steaks cooked to perfection.

Steak was pretty good. I had a New York Strip. The salad bar was nice. But overall it's pretty good.

I ate this place and it was just awful. Strong smell of raw fish and the chicken was just horrible. The hushpuppies are ok but don't make up for the place. The price is normal about 32.00 for two people with tip.

Hello everyone! You go here for the catfish!!!! If you want a good steak you should only order the filet, as all the other steaks are going to be the thin variety like served at all the other local area restaurants. I will say I have ordered a filet to mix it up and it was delicious. But regarding the catfish.....I normally like whole fish, and theirs are good....but I like super crispy and this place offers catfish fillets that are stripped.....like catfish french fries.....OMG!!! Just make sure the waiter writes down that you want your fillets stripped. Their hushpuppies are awesome too.....so come here for catfish fillets stripped and the hushpuppies....and the occasional beef filet. If you order anything else and don't like it......it is your own fault!!!!
