Country Diner

I'm so glad we stopped here. We were driving through and it was the only restaurant in the area, but met our needs. It was clear the restaurant is frequented by locals as everyone started at us when we walked in and everyone else who entered were greeted by name and hugs from other patrons. It had a very homey atmosphere. The menu is small, but included some typical American and southern options. Service was friendly and food was good. Definitely worth checking out.

cash only. nearest atm is by the school hwy 48 marketWe have been here twice for take out. Everyone is pleasant enough. Although I did have an issue with the second time when I called in the order. Betty jo seemed so very nice our first visit. But her phone attitude comes across as annoyed or some may say it's rude. I am still confused on what the "chicken fried steak" is- I ordered it & once Home discovered it was chicken breast. I called & told her that my chicken fried steak was chicken. She says she'll make me a new one so my daughter goes to get it. Once Home with the new sandwich - it is again chicken. So I don't know if that's the way it's supposed to be or if it's supposed to be beef. I didn't call again to say anything. I will say the sweet tea is amazing. We actually suggested she sell it by the gallon jug. I will continue to go eat there. I would love to try more things. However I don't think I'll be calling in orders. Lol. I do wish they sold more "country" meals like fried chicken, roast beef, maybe a daily special that the same each week. I don't know. I e also had the hamburger steak with cheese & onions. It was really good.

I've gone to this place for over 15 years. It is a "ma & pa" vibe. Best milkshakes and best patty melts.

Quaint little country diner. Delicious Cheeseburgers and Fries and good milkshakes. If you want to have a little day trip, it's a beautiful drive out here and easy to find. There are 2 entrances outside, the door on the left is the sit down table and chairs, the door on tge right is a small area with bar stools. If you order take out you pick up at the window outside. Call ahead for hours. Great place to stop and eat when out yard sailing this way

We've lived in the area for years but never went. Today we did. It was great food. No frills, just good food. Very nice people. They don't take cards, but have an ATM inside in case you forgot your paper. Food was fresh I had the ham, bacon, and sausage. Must say the sausage was exceptional as well as the ham. My wife had the pancakes and she really liked them. She is a picky eater so that's saying something. Will surely be back because this is only 12 mins from home. Great prices too !!

First time eating here in many years, and it is under new ownership. The food was delicious and very fair priced. We had the daily special, chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes, corn bread, and green beans, all of which were which were delicious. (There were cooked carrots too but neither of us eat those so can't fairly review.) I strongly suggest the fried mushrooms as well.

Food is good. Service is good. Everybody knows everybody and it is a great place. Meat and three on Thursday nights, Catfish on Friday nights and biscuits and gravy on Saturday mornings. Come try it out for yourself.

Tried it 4 times,service was SLOW.had burgers twice w under cooked fry's.had meatloaf n mashed potatoes.instant mash potatoes and canned corn.disapointing.just had chicken and dressing,mashed potatoes and squash casserole.pile of dressing w a teaspoon of shardes of chicken in it, squash casserole was inedible,instant mash potatoes.im done there.oh and cash only in 2023?

I had pancakes and eggs and Mrs Betty jo was the best. I am 10 years old Zachary B.
