Country Catfish

We headed to this place on a recommendation from a local. When we arrived it looked like a well used meeting hall. As you walk in there is a check in desk where you pay with the small buffet behind. That leads into not one, not two but 4 separate dining rooms. We went to the buffet and loaded up on coleslaw, corn, onion rings, catfish. And hush puppies. Let me tell you the Cole slaw was some of my favorite I ever tasted. The corn, well it's corn that has been soaked in butter, the hush puppies, again, some of the best I've had. Now the real star, the catfish. This was soooo fresh not a hint of fishiness nor smell. The cornmeal coating gave it the right amount of texture and crunch. They was not one ounce of oil residue left. The onion rings were also good but not worth going back for a second try. The ladies serving were some of the kindest souls. Their website says they are cash only, however one of my students remembers seeing a square app available.

I have always enjoyed their shrimp and sides! This is a family owned business and the staff is always nice.

It's okay nothing special about this place. Food is ok. Too expensive for okay food. $36 buffet for two people.

Overpriced and under served. The food is good and all but it is way overpriced. They don't have enough people serving tables so we had to wait forever to get our drink orders and refills. I had to find silverware myself.

Excellent catfish. Best in the area. Not much on decor or atmosphere but it makes up for it by serving great food. They get you in and out too!

Great food!!!! Never disappoints! Fish: Friesonion rings slaw catfish steaks or fillets. Corn on the cobbbb mhmmm good!

I grew up coming to Ms. Louise's. Always fresh, and good such a good childhood memory.

Mrs Theresa and Mr Darrell have continued the great service and food traditions that Mrs Louise started here at Country Catfish. The food has been very consistent over the years and that's something in this day and age where suppliers come and go. The menu is consistent: fish, fries, onion rings, corn on the cob, slaw, and the regular condiments on the buffet - which they keep stocked but fresh - they do not over cook and have food sitting for hours. They also offer chicken strips, shrimp, etc to order from the menu. Drop by and check them out - I'll guarantee you'll find Mrs Theresa at the counter with her sweet smile to welcome you in.

Country catfish, they should to spell it with a K.Awesome food not a large selection but what they do have they do excellent. The slaw is out of this world, so are the hush puppies. I'm not a catfish eater so I grab the chicken, your regular flat frozen chicken fingers. The Buffet consist of slaw, corn on the cob, onion rings, fries, hushpuppies, catfish strips,and cat fish steaks. Sometimes there's cobbler, If you get there in time.
