On of my favorite parts of warm weather is visiting the various farmer's markets throughout the city. This was my first time visiting this particular location and I must say that I am glad that I did. They had a variety of vendor with so many fresh food including fruit, veggies, eggs, seafood, all types of salsa and more. In recent years, I have grown to love authentic healthy food and shopping here make me feel a little healthier each time, lol! Seriously, the prices are affordable and you can tell that each vendor sincerely cares about their goods. I stopped by so many booths that I cant list them all but I can tell you what I purchased: - Mint Leaves - Macaroons - Salsa- Tortilla Chips- Spinach and so much more! Oh and not to forget they have other vendors who sell jewelry, household, skincare items, etc. Check them out the next time you are in the area you should definitely stop by!

Although there may be larger farmers markets in the area, Cooper-Young's market cannot be beat (I go regularly!). The vendors are friendly, the prices are great, and the products are high quality. Most vendors sell vegetables, but there are several vendors that offer meat, flowers, and other products. The neighborhood is a great place to eat/hang before or after your farmers market visit.

The best!! Best farmers and vendors of any Farmer's Market and I love to visit markets when traveling. Huge selection of fresh, classic and unique food goods as well as body care, flowers and even 2D and 3D art wares. Support your farmers! Pay the Farmer or pay the pharmacy!! Introduce yourself and come every Saturday. It forms a community for you and all to enjoy!

in all of my wildest white person fantasies, i never dreamed i would live literally "around the corner" from a farmer's market. a two minute bike ride or a 5 minute walk, i don't care if it's small scale- THAT'S AWESOME. life is good in cooper-young, i almost don't miss california.there are deals to be had here folks- today i left with half a paper bag filled with fresh, organic haricot verts for A DOLLAR, two pounds of the best organic heirloom tomatoes i have ever eaten for $4.00 and the farmer threw in a bunch of basil for free, a bunch of hot pink zinnia's for $2.50. Also, the restaurant "sweetgrass" bakes their delicious breads fresh every morning before the market opens, which are a steal as well. i have yet to be able to leave without two pieces of their famous fresh apple cake that weighs about two pounds a slice!my only complaints would be the small number of organic farms vs. conventional farms. certification is very difficult to get (especially here in tennessee because so many farms use pesticides and if your farm is next to their farm, you're screwed) but i'm just as happy with non-certified no pesticide farming vs. eating something from a conventional farm. i really do believe people are willing to pay for it. also, "otherlands" coffee sold me a mediocre, tiny $2.00 iced tea with no clean spoons to stir in sugar and no lids or straws- that's a racket and totally ghetto. the gal told me to use a spoon covered in old coffee in my iced tea- GROSS.my super cool neighbor sheila does dog sitting here, so if you are on a walk with your furry buddy you don't have to worry about a place for them to hang while you shop.i love you cooper-young farmers market- you are making all of my bourgeois dreams come true!

Though not as big as some, the Cooper-Young Community Farmers Market brings in a variety of fresh produce, seafood, prepared food, plants and crafts to the heart of this thriving Midtown Community. There is live music, a craft tent for the kids, coffee and much more, in a laid-back, non-pretentious setting. Check them out during the warm season, Saturdays 8AM to 1PM

The cooper Young Farmer's market is fantastic! I love all the fresh produce and the fact that I can get some specialty meats there. I've bought duck and lamb from the Renaissance Farms booth, which was very exciting, because I hadn't seen a huge selection of it else where in Memphis. The midtown herbs booth also has fresh herbs like lavender that I don't buy anywhere else. Of course, they have tons of vendors selling produce from purple potatoes to heirloom tomatoes! They also have homemade soaps, dog treats, tea blends, and plenty other goodies. It's a really cool place to come get your shopping done, while supporting local businesses and discovering some new things (and listening to some local musicians)! They even have a J.Brooks coffee booth, which is a local roaster who offers ground and whole bean options. The vendors are always kind and courteous and willing to tell you about their products and their passion for what they do. It's just a great community atmosphere. P.s. I actually adopted my puppy, Daisy, from the Renaissance Farms booth as well. I love her dearly and I can't thank them enough!

I love this farmer's market. It's close to my house. I walked there today. There was live music. There were a variety of vendors from fresh vegetables to meat to desserts. The prices aren't cheap, but they never are when you get fresh organic food that came from a farm. Quality is great.
