I've been meaning to try this place for breakfast for some time and it always slips my mind. This past Saturday I was on it and when I arrived it was a good flow of people inside as well as the drive through. The restaurant is casual with plenty dining space to eat inside and be comfortable, by the looks of it I think majority of customers use the drive through. The people were very nice and answered my questions even though they were pretty busy. I ordered a Chicken Biscuit with gravy and I got a donut. I was a bit puzzled by the looks of that donut but so many people were ordering them, I even heard one employee say that they weren't taking and more donut orders. The donut was a deep purple almost black in color and it was blueberry the only kind that they made. I thought that was odd that they didn't make glazed or any other flavor just Blueberry. I wonder why only Blueberry?Anyway, I got back to my brother's house and tried my Chicken Biscuit and Oh Boy, I understand why this place is so popular! That was a perfect gravy covered piece of chicken between the most delicious biscuit I've had in some time! Yes, I could eat that every day!Now let's get into this "Blueberry" Donut, it's a cake donut and it tasted good but it was a tad greasy but good. I then wondered if they fried the donuts in the same chicken grease so the only donut that could stand up to that leftover grease would be a "Blueberry " donut. It was tasty I only took a bite due to it being too greasy. I don't think I would order another one but I understand why they sell out!! I will certainly be back for that Chicken Biscuit!!!

Food is good. Service not so much... First visit, was great... woman was friendly, comunicated, really seemed glad I was there ... The following two visits, I was met with inattentiveness, and more or less, people doing the minimum...in fact, as I waited, at least a full minute or two, standing at the counter, waiting to be greeted or recognized, one employee stood right in front of me, leaning on the counter, on her phone, and never even looked at me... I went for the chicken, not a social event, but there is an aspect of serving people, in the food industry, that plays an important role in the customer experience, and overall success of a service based business.... Good help is hard to find....

I found the blueberry doughnut on yelp used in a bread pudding. But that restaurant wasn't going to be open so I searched for Connie's. Glad I did! That was some of the best fried chicken I've had in years! Spicy & the original were awesome! Cooked to perfection, juicy, not dry. And that Blueberry doughnut, Perfection! We took home 2 dozen! Before we left there was a young man manager coaching employees! Employees staying busy and working! So pleasant! Connie's will be our stop when we pass through Tupelo from here on out! Great Job Connie's!!

Connie's has always been an institution in Tupelo. With the purchase by new owners I had some concerns. They did seem to go thru a transition and lots of new employees, but they seem to have it all working great now. I have the usual chicken gravy biscuit often and it's been great. I had a few soggy experiences with onion rings a few times but I think they have that under control now. I would recommend Connie's to anyone

The food was delicious and a traditional southern meal. Blueberry donuts are only served in the morning, so go early enough to get them (I hear they are amazing). They were sold out of some chicken, but prepared some shortly after. Delicious food, and sooo fairly priced.

Connie's Chicken has been a staple in Tupelo for over 50 years. They are known locally for their southern hospitality and their delicious chicken. Service is fast, the restaurant is spotlessly clean & such friendly people. The ambiance is locally significant. Be sure to order many blueberry doughnuts, a local specialty. No one does doughnuts better than Connie's. Their chicken & biscuits are legendary!

By far the best breakfast biscuits in Tupelo. service was quick and attentive. Very clean establishment for an almost 50 year old restaurant. Best blueberry donuts in the Southeast. Highly recommend.
