Stepping into Complicated Pilgrim was a delightful experience. The modern atmosphere, stylish decor, and overall vibe immediately set a welcoming tone. It's clear that great thought went into creating an inviting space.The service was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we were greeted with warm smiles, the staff's exceptional customer service stood out, making the experience even more enjoyable.The menu, though simple and easy to navigate, was surprisingly fitting for a restaurant with such a unique name. It was straightforward without being overwhelming--a pleasant surprise!Now, onto the food. It felt like being back at grandma's house for a classic Southern breakfast. The biscuits were buttery and flaky, easily a standout on the plate. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and perfectly cooked. However, the turkey sausage fell short of the meal's high standard. It was thin, slightly dry, and reminded me of Great Value frozen sausage--a processed option that didn't do justice to the otherwise exceptional meal. Substituting this with a higher-quality brand would elevate the entire breakfast experience.The holiday decor was charming and prompted us to snap some personal pictures, adding to the overall warmth and joy of the visit. I look forward to returning to try more menu options and soaking in the ambiance again. Was staying at the hotel grabbed a salad at lunch, service was very slow, food took forever to get. The place is nice. My biggest issue was price $13 for the salad and $10 dollars for a chicken breast add on that is a joke.

Decided to come here after seeing the menu, which had some interesting mashups.Started out very slow, in terms of someone taking our order and getting our order out, but initially loved the Hot Air Balloon and G&G for drinks. The samosas and Brussels were a fantastic starter, but the rolls and killer sorghum butter stole the show!My husband got the Airline chicken and I got a Caesar with salmon. The chicken dish was very nice, and the salmon tasted great, but the salad was underwhelming. Bagged parmesan and chopped romaine... seems like they need to add their culinary flair to the salad, or at least the dressing.Overall I'd come back, but with the slow service and weird salad, I go with a 4 overall.

Complicated Pilgrim has some of the best scallops and cocktails in town. The sear on their scallops is almost like a crust. Every restaurant should sear their scallops like this. They have great classic cocktails and creative specialty cocktails. I've been here a few times with family and for business meals. They have large windows for ample natural lighting, but I find that I prefer the atmosphere at night. In my opinion, the service isn't typically up to par with other restaurants at the same price point. Overall, it's a great spot to try, and I'm sure I'll be back soon.

I had the avocado toast. Very solid breakfast. Good coffee and nice service. Not special but cute space and easy to access from the hotel!

The chicken was an add-on to my salad, but well worth it! It was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The restaurant is decorated with a classy style that reminds me of a cozier version of The Great Gatsby. Our server was very polite and helpful as well. Overall I was satisfied with the dining experience.

The vibes and decor draw me here. The food is ok, it's not bad. Prices are slightly higher than they should be. The drinks are pretty good here. Service is standard. They do serve rolls and butter complimentary for the first batch. The wedge salad was perfect

This is a very nice and quiet place to dine for brunch. The ambiance is warm , inviting, clean, with a modern day design. Customer service was outstanding and the wait time was swift . My favorite item on the menu was the latte . The bartender will add a foam heart upon request! There were plenty of menu items to choose from . The smoked salmon appetizer was fresh and tasty . However several other items were bland and prepared with minimal to no seasonings.

It was hearty and delicious, packed with flavors that left me satisfied but unable to finish the whole meal. I highly recommend it to those with a big appetite who are in search of a quality breakfast burrito. The coffee served at Complicated Pilgrim also deserves acknowledgement as it was consistently good and complemented the meal perfectly. It happened to be the day after Thanksgiving Day, and my family and I decided to unwind there. While there were some issues with one of the bartenders, who unexpectedly left during our visit, the manager stepped in to ensure that our drinks were taken care of. Despite this slight hiccup, my family and I had a good time, and the environment and customer service were satisfactory.Based on my experiences, I am eager to return to Complicated Pilgrim for dinner in the future. I believe that the inviting atmosphere, coupled with the friendly customer service, will make for an enjoyable dining experience. I have also received positive feedback from friends who have visited this establishment, further solidifying my desire to return.In conclusion, I recommend giving Complicated Pilgrim a try. Quick breakfast in Midtown. Located conveniently in the same building as the Memphian Hotel. Very modern, clean w/ friendly staff. Chose to sit in the bar area, w/ bartender "Roman" as the server. Ordered basic coffee along with the eggs Benedict. Coffee was fresh, food delivery prompt. Breakfast tasted amazing - kudos to chef on excellent hollandaise and poached eggs. Canadian bacon was spot-on also.Prices were a little higher than expected, but the overall experience was worth it. Highly recommend! Enjoy
