I've been back here many times now and it's just getting better and better every single visit!The duck and sausage gumbo is freaking fantastic! It seems to be a little different each time but that's just fine because it is so damn good! I think it's due to age and temperature mostly. Gumbo changes a good bit over time. I have to start buying this by the gallon and freezing it!Brisket!! Holy crap I found a place with good brisket. Last time, I just ordered, and got a mix of fatty and lean, I wished I'd have asked for all fatty because it was perfect! I'm not sure how he does it so well with such little volumes of people dining here. Onion rings are the best I've ever had! Perfectly cooked and honestly the best breading I've seen in the onion ring game. Check out my picture of that salad. Ridiculous! Catfish is great! Breading is right on and they cut the fillets up smaller so they are nice and crunchy. Ribs are fire, be sure you get them dry, sauce onside... They are really, really, really good!Pulled pork... done very well... even the BBQ sauce is special. I dig the "hot" version!Free fucking Hushpuppies!!!! What else do you need in your life??? Nothing! The onion jam is Charity's jam!! She loves it!Oh yeah, almost forgot... Don't get caught leaving this place without a piece of cake either. Even if you don't want it now, get it to go and I will accept your donations later. The Hummingbird cake is phenomenal. This place is seriously legit! The owners name is Tyler Clancy, I finally met him last night. Please support him so he never leaves. That's right, I am selfishly asking you to drive your ass here and give him money so I can continue to eat here forever!

Went to our usual spot, Clancys! I saw the Big Tae special on their Facebook and had to try it! It was smoked brisket and bbq sauce on mac and cheese. It was delicious. If you see it on their specials, definitely give it a try. As always, the service and staff were great!

So nice to return to this local, re-opened-opened, restaurant. Covid set them back, but they have returned just as good ... if not better than ever ... So glad! You won't go wrong stopping in here -- whether buffet or off- the-menu. You can't go wrong!!!!

Dinner date on Saturday afternoon at about 6 pm.I'm still recovering from one of the worst meals I've ever tried to eat. Where do I start? First, you order and pay when you walk in the door. Bill was $35.86, two orders of catfish with sides and 2 drinks, tea and coke. I paid cash, this is where it started. Handed the girl two 20's, a dollar bill and a penny. This blew her mind! She handed me back the dollar bill and penny and said she didn't need that much. Gave me four ones and change back with the receipt that showed several percentage amounts you can tip. Tip? Why would you tip? Once our food was delivered that was the last time we had contact with anyone in the store, except for the manager (owner).Now to the food. The catfish was terrible! It was soggy and heavy with grease. Hushpuppies were overcooked, dry, and just plain. My onion rings were warm at best, and greasy. She liked her fried okra, my slaw was ok, a little juicy but the flavor was nice. The tea was good and my date's mist drink was terrible because the tank ran out of syrup about 1/2 way up the cup. By the way, they were out of lemon! Catfish, lemon,,,,tea, lemon...come on folks! Well, I had a short discussion with the owner about the greasy fish. Asked if it was cooked in advance and reheated, he said no. Then I asked if the grease was not hot enough, old or had not been filtered recently. Really never got a complete answer. He said this cook just "topped" it off. He did offer to replace the fish, which I politely declined, but that was it. He never offered us a refund, give us a gift certificate, buy us dessert, just walked off. Now being an ex restaurant owner I think I would have handled this mess a little differently. To be fair. Maybe we just caught Clancy's on a bad day? We've been once before, last year, and it was great! Like I said, me being an ex-owner myself I tried to watch all orders leaving the kitchen. Given the fact the owner was on site, I think maybe he was tired? Could be they were getting ready to close and the friers were cooling down? Anyway, I'd never let an order leave the kitchen I'd not eat. This was one of em. Will we go back? I don't know.

My husband and I had the Catfish Pontchartrain (the best sauce ever) with sides of turnip greens and a salad. The 2 blacken catfish were the very best I'd ever eaten. The salad was huge with cucumbers, tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese and croutons with a balsamic vinegar dressing. These were fantastic meals!! Great service! Wonderful setting and it was very reasonable! If we ever travel through this area again we will certainly stop. I would give it a 10 out of 10 or a Five Star out of Five Star!

Wonderful food, excellent service, clean environment. Chocolate cobbler and brisket - hands down my favorite!

Prices were pretty high. BBQ was mushy tasted like it was smoked but reheated in the crock pot. Hush Puppies were excellent!Service was great.But for the price it was not worth it.

Nice little drive from Memphis, but well worth it. Order and pay at the counter when you go in, get your drink of choice, pick a table and wait for your food to be delivered to your table. The server is very friendly with a down-home personality. Be sure to tip her! The food was very good. I had the pork plate with beans and onion rings. Very good bbq sauce, sweet and a little spicy. Beans and onion rings were your basic fare. The others with me dined on the Ponchatrain special. Catfish with a creole-type sauce poured over. Got good reviews from them. Take the drive to Red Banks and enjoy!

Food was great, the old lady at the cash register is a real grumpy person though. Please learn to be more Friendly, I was excited to try a new restaurant while I was on the road but after that encounter I put my headphones on and ate as fast as I could so I could get out. Luckily the two younger ladies that helped at the front were friendly. Also the guy who came from the kitchen to help me clean my tray was very friendly also.

Always good food , nice friendly atmosphere Easy access off of I22 , had the BBQ sandwiches today, YUM YUM
