My favorite place for the occasional happy hour "dinner". The starters on the menu are all wonderful and large enough to pass for a light but delicious meal. I highly recommend the lamb pops (4 succulent and meaty chops) or the brisket-filled pasta shells, with a to-die-for marinara sauce. Grab a seat at the boisterous bar and get ready to enjoy!

I'm local, and want to support "local". Service is always spot on, and I get that labor costs are nearly out of control. That said, the pricing is now comparable to dtown Nashville/trendier restaurants. I am also NOT a cheap/thrifty person, but jamming a customer $13 for some bread and butter, that is included at most places for free, is borderline egotistical. Mark my entree up another $2-3 bucks, and include the bread/butter.Again, I want to support "local", but the pricing model is a becoming a bit much.....

After enjoying many great meals here, experienced our first really off dinner. So disappointing when you're spending $300 for dinner/drinks for three. Absolutely freezing at a table right inside the door (they did provide a small space heater) but it did NOTHING for the frigid breeze whenever the door opened. Totally ruined a meal and drinks when your teeth are chattering and body shivering. Services is usually exemplary but understand they were short staffed. Appetizers came out before we got our drinks, food was ok but not the usual scrumptious offerings, and just overall such an expensive disappointment when you're entertaining an out of state guest. With tomorrow being Valentines Day I hope they can get their act together.

I had a remarkably lovely Sunday brunch at Circa. My waffle was exactly as all waffles should be, with buttery slightly crispy edges and a pillow-y interior. My one qualm, however (which resulted in an entire point deduction), was the dish of artificial syrup served on the side. How a restaurant of Circa's caliber can live with itself and serve anything beside pure maple syrup truly confounds me! I could wax rhapsodic about this topic, but I must move on...The environment is one I would opt to enjoy all of my meals in if I could; soft natural light cascades in through large picture windows and wood furnishings give the place an inviting living-room feel. I sampled the dishes my family ordered (the Cinnamon Roll French Toast & the Eggs Benedict) and both were worthy of praise. We washed down our respective plates with perfect cups of French-pressed coffee. We contemplated sitting in our booth, blissfully full, and waiting for the dinner menus to be brought out, but decided we'd make another occasion out of it, instead. I cannot wait to return!

Great, relaxing environment and great food to match. I love the inside of this place, it's just simple and welcoming in the best way possible. The menu seems to be semi-rotational and seasonal, which some people love and some people don't. The burger with pork belly was the show-stopper. If you're a burger enthusiast, this is a must. The pork belly appetizer was also great, it's more of a "hash" with how small the pork belly is diced up and presented. I wish the pieces were a little bigger, it's hard to get everything in one bite. The appetizers were also great, unfortunately the desserts were just a few notches above average. Staff is friendly but hit or miss with attentiveness. All to be said, I will be back and if I had a relative or friend in town who was looking for a nice meal without fighting the tourists, I would take them here.

Ran across this place while roaming around. Cool little place. We visited for lunch on a Sunday, place was busy. Ordered a BLT and a burger. The burger was spot on, the BLT, well I'd pass on it. It had very little bacon,. Who puts a little piece of bacon on a Blt? Well this place did and for this I'd probably not come back. Maybe their dinners are better but I'd assume the portions are small based on how cheap they were with the bacon.

One of the worst dining experiences. We opted to sit at the bar; it was a busy night. We sat for 30 minutes, with no one asking us if we wanted to eat. The bar top in front of us was never cleaned, a waiter did come by, we tried to taste a couple of Sauvignon Blanca, but were told they don't do that (they have in the past), I stopped a waitress to get menus, the bartender said she was too busy to put the NFL game on the TV, or ask if wanted to eat. I finally complained to the owner, Robynne Napier, who told us if we didn't like it, to go. We did.

My husband and I finally made it to Circa. We have been trying to go here for over a year and tonight didn't disappoint! We shared the pork belly appetizer and ordered a couple drinks. I ordered the lobster carbonara and my husband got the shrimp and grits! Both were great entrees and enough for me to take home. Circa use to be a general store that was converted into today's restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with us making decisions!

This was our first visit in a year +. Our last visit earned a mediocre review because the place (server's fault probably) exuded a "foo foo" vibe. Left just soaked in it. This visit - totally different! Host was terrific and his positivity and low key charm was a perfect welcoming attitude. Our server was friendly, fun, helpful, efficient and professional. Food was very well prepared and served hot - no mean feat since 2 large groups ordered ahead of us. Based on the experience and the food quality, the value for the $ was very good. We will make it a point to go more often after this excellent experience.

I really want to shower our local fine dining with love, but the chef has loaded the menu with over the top complex dishes that muddy the flavors here. For example, the hot chicken sounds fabulous on the menu. But it's actually not the least little bit spicy. As fried chicken, its best feature is the crunchiness of the coating. But the chef piles wet slaw and pickles on top and then adds a layer of sauce on top of that, so little of the excellent crust survives the treatment. We started with visit with a special of crab toast. The toast was silly thick, about 2" tall, with a light coating of crab on top. The grilled crunchiness of the toast was nice, but it was so high that the dish had to be completely deconstructed to eat it, and the toast overwhelmed the gentle crab flavor. The wife did the grilled salmon as a main, and ended up trying to scrape as much of the basil vinaigrette as possible off, saying it was too much for the salmon. I do give them kudos for an excellent cocktail program featuring local distilleries like Company and Leiper's Fork. The service is friendly and helpful as well. My other caution is that the restaurant is very loud. It's diners enjoying themselves, so good for that, just be aware that it can be a painfully loud room on a busy night. We'll certainly continue to visit our local Circa, and perhaps on a few more visits, will find the simpler dishes that make a great meal, perhaps sticking with the excellent wood fired steaks.
