Chow Wagon

Great little place for a quick chuck wagon and fries with an awesome dessert of hot fudge cake. Went there for lunch a couple of days ago and it was so busy, couldn't get in.All the tables were full and the line to order was to the door.Please hear me, I'm not complaining, will eventually catch it with some availability, I'm just glad to see a local business thriving like they are! Great job!I'll see you soon!

Great place. Best ice cream anywhere around. I've had the strawberry shortcake and the hot fudge cake. I also love the patty melt. The French fries are stray cut and I'm not fun of steak cut.

An absolutely incredible place to eat. We stopped by here on a recommendation from a friends and couldn't be more pleased. The food and service were perfect, not to mention that it was the most incredible hamburger in west TN. Don't forget the ice cream, it's great too.

Listen. Get the hot fry special. Also the Chow Babies with fries. Sit outside. Good stuff.

6 pm today 8-24 received order short of one side, AGAIN. This is second event. Manager says check bag before you leave? Should I come in from drive thru and chaeck that it is PREPARED PROPERLY TOO? Excuse was short of help and Mgr on duty just came from 2nd job. Okay Management is the problem, if you prefer to cheat customers just say so up front. OTHERWISE a GOOD MANAGER cuts services to meet staffing......never CHEAT CUSTOMERS. IF this ERROR IS MADE RIGHT review will be adjusted accordingly. Since I work retail 3 blks away I assure you I CAN DISCOURAGE MORE CUSTOMERS than your profit of 2 salads paid for andNOT DELIVERED.

Solid food. Portions are a little small but the food was enjoyable. By far the best part of it though was my ice cream. Highly recommend.

A MUST STOP. Chow Wagon is everything you want in a local restaurant. People are nice, food is delicious, you won't spend a lot of money, and you're bound to run into someone you know. Have been many times but stopped last week while in town with my family. We all had double cheeseburgers and fries. I'm a sucker for crinkle fries and these were straight out of the fryer. The double cheeseburger was delicious. For dessert, we split the hot fudge cake. It was more than enough for three people and was incredible! I can't recommend enough.

Used to be great. New owner, smaller portions and less experienced cooks. The food is not at all the same quality as it used to be. Almost consistently the fries are overcooked and kept out forever or something. They are hard shells with no potato at that point. The burgers are ok on a good day.

It is a run of the mill,small town,greasy spoon,hamburger joint.The food is average,nothing particularly stands out on their menu.Last time I went there,they seemed not to know how to react to someone having a service dog.Even after I told them,I would look up over at the women behind the counter to see them eyeballing me.(Not conducive to a comfortable dining experience)It has been in Milan for years,but that does not make it special,just familiar.The clientele usually consists of good ol boys and elderly people.The staff is a mix of women who should be of retirement age already or teenybopper girls.All in all,an okay place though if you want something on the cheap or are just totally starving.

Chow Wagon was a staple in Milan and then it sold and of course nothing stayed the same just the name. Can't get any sandwich without getting burnt bread, may get what you ordered or something totally different. Used to have the best fries now, 50/50 chance of being good at best. Hot Ham & Cheese was one of the best items on the menu. Now the ham is terrible not the same as it used to be now soggy with burnt bread. Ice cream and shakes are still great for now. So sad to see such a great business die a slow death. Businesses are often bought with the lie of not changing anything however, businesses are actually bought TO make changes and unfortunately this was the case with Chow Wagon and Milan may have lost a great restaurant. Never thought Sonic would ever have a better burger.
