The vodka penne was rich and creamy! Enough sauce for all the penne they served, could have used a little more chicken, but overall it was very tasty. The garlic knots were airy on the soft and airy on the inside. Perfect amount of garlic!

I really had hoped these cheesesteak subs would be as great as they sounded and especially coming from a restaurant that had a large variety of pizzas and sub sandwiches. But they were not only cold, they were hard, barely had any meat and the meat that WAS on it was non-digestible. Hard, over cooked, barely chewable. I've ordered cheesesteaks in Memphis plenty of times from plenty of places and this was the worst cheesesteak sandwich I've ever purchased. A waste of money and time. Avoid.

I want to preface this by saying I'm from Brooklyn, so I know NY pizza VERY well. I got very excited seeing zeppolis on the menu thinking that this was finally my sign of having a traditional NY meal. I was a bit wrong. I ordered a chicken roll, a regular slice which was labeled as a "large or giant size" or whatever, some garlic knots and their zeppolis. Let's start with the chicken roll. This was not like any other NY chicken roll I've ever had. The dough was too soft. The entire thing was too large in comparison to the filling and the filling was quite bland. The coating on the dough was good though. I wouldn't order this again. The "large slice" makes me wonder what they consider to be a regular slice size because there was nothing "large" about it. It was a standard slice of a plain pie and I could tell it wasn't fresh fresh. So I wouldn't order this again either. The garlic knots were okay but nothing to write home about. And the zeppolis... the thing that made me order from here in the first place. Man oh man am I disappointed. First, I've never seen zeppolis in long pieces like that. It was interesting. I liked the shape more than the tradition beignet style zeppolis. However, they were incredibly dry and where they weren't dry, they were super gummy. Which made me wonder if they were fresh. There was barely any powdered sugar on top of them as well. Which, the whole point of zeppolis is that they're cloudy fluffy fried pieces of dough coated in powdered sugar. Definitely not at all like the zeppolis you'd find in NY. Wouldn't order again.So I sadly, will have to continue my search for an actual authentic NY pizza place here. I know that the key to NY pizza is the water, but there's definitely another place that's closer to what NY pizza is supposed to be like in Memphis and it's not this place.

Haven't been able to find a good pizza place here in Memphis and then I saw cheesecake boss. My husband and I decided to try it and it was fabulous! My husband from New York and I'm from Philadelphia and trying to find a good pizza has been difficult. This is the best pizza that I've had since I've been here. The staff is wonderful and the restaurant is clean. If you are looking for a really good pizza place, this is the place to go..

Tried pizza by the slice - eh' ok. Steak Salad was ok, but it's paper plate didn't even match the ones for the pizzas. Drinks are in the bottle, as if I'm at a gas station, and other than water, every drink is high calorie (Pineapple Crish = 320 calorie) or caffeinated - a concern for some at night time. The fluorescent lighting makes the place feel like a grocery (or huge gas station ) - cold and not appealing .The windows and walls have traditional Italian dishes (words) all over but there is NOTHING about this place that says, "I bet they make a great tilapia scampi". Ditch the paper plates for some metal or plastic platters, Turn on the pendant lights, kill the fluorescents, bring in something special for the drink options (including something that doesn't induce diabetes and a 2am caffeine wakefulness) and if your ziti, lasagna or other classic dishes are genuinely good - then promote them as specials.

Review written as a 1st time visitor (so I went in with zero expectations... more curious than anything else).Upon entry, the establishment was empty, but clean. But it was extremely warm in the establishment ( so much so that I complained to our waitress on more than one occasion.We ordered 2 chicken Alfredo's and a spaghetti with meatballs. Each came with a salad and garlic knots.I can say that the entree was huge. The garlic knots were flavorful and the salad had fresh lettuce. The pasta dishes were decent for the price and the garlic knots were cooked fresh.To top it off, my son ordered himself a slice of chocolate cheesecake. We ended up with carry-out plates because we couldn't finish our meals.I would definitely visit again, but I can only give it a 4 because of how hot it was in the establishment.
