Charles Cafeteria & Grill

I've been twice now, breakfast and lunch. The food has been very very good, prepared and seasoned with care. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The prices are surprisingly reasonable. I think that covers the big stuff. Any time I'm close to Fayette between the first of breakfast and the end of lunch, I know exactly where to go.

This is our favorite place to eat in all of Alabama! We are from Texas, but travel through Fayette from time to time. We love the Southern Comfort Food at Charles! It's always fresh & tasty! The owners & the staff are exceptional! You have to eat here & you'll get hooked like we did!

Lovely people and great cafe style food! I love the sweet potato and corn bread!I've been in a few times and the owners are sweet, friendly and accommodating.

We love this place breakfast is great prices can't be beat the girls are wonderful and the lunch is amazing home made southern style wish they were open for dinner

Love the people that work there. They are always friendly and welcoming. The desserts here are really good, but I am not overly impressed with the food. It can sometimes be a little bland and the menu never varies. They do have a Facebook page where they post their daily menu for those not familiar with the restaurant. It is also served cafeteria style, where you walk down the line picking out what you want. If you are in a time crunch for lunch and looking for something home cooked, this is an ok place. In Fayette most people eat here for lunch as it has become the place for lunch on the go. They also serve breakfast here on Saturdays, and I can vouch for the food at that time. It more than makes up for the fair weather food during the week.

We ate breakfast here Saturday morning. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming. Our coffee cups were kept full too.

It is a decent cafe that offers a good variety. The food is a pretty bland though. You can get by with adding some hot sauce to it, but the seasoning isn't really there.

Was in Fayette for work & this became one of my go-to lunch spots. Photos are from my three stops into Charles. Super friendly folks & terrific food. A true cafeteria set-up where you grab a tray & point out things you'd like along a short steam plate line. Highly recommend the fried fish & fried green beans.

Good Breakfast! My grits and grilled cheese on Texas toast was excellent! I would have given 5 stars But my sausage was hard and overcooked. Service was good and I'm going to eat there tomorrow. Best Breakfast I've had in Fayette
