We were there 1/11/25 around 7:00, Abi was are server and she was absolutely the best, great personality, as well as a fun sense of humor,far as the food, we recommend the catfish platter the gumbo, the chicken livers, the chicken tender platter, and I've had before their tamales all their food is wonderful. I will definitely be back.

Tennessee doesn't have many crawfish options like NOLA, but Champy's offers a delicious and reasonably priced alternative. You can choose between 2, 4, or 6 pounds--we went with 4 pounds, and it was a lot! I always ask for cocktail sauce and then add Culver's hot sauce for extra kick, and it hits the spot.I'm glad this location now offers crawfish because, when they first opened, it was only available at the Murfreesboro location. The service is always great. Their fried chicken, which they're known for, is decent, but we mainly come here between early March and late April just for the crawfish.At 5:30 PM, we were the only table eating crawfish, but we also enjoyed a Dirty Shirley Temple--double well-poured during happy hour. The bathrooms were clean, the music wasn't too loud, and there was plenty of parking since it's right next to Home Depot. There was no wait, as they have plenty of tables, but if you're coming with a big group, I'd recommend arriving early, especially on weekends.

Have ordered from them twice now. The first time my catfish entree came without tartar sauce and I spent over 30 mins tonight waiting on dinner only to have the order cancelled due to them being "closed" after it was being prepared with a Dasher assigned and another Dasher trying to get it. Absolute joke of a business. Don't even accept the order and show it being prepared for 20 mins only to cancel it cause you're supposedly not open!

My first time at Champy's. Went with friends and enjoyed our food. I would definitely go again.

Fun place to drink, eat, and vibe. The interior of this place is eccentric and unique. Everywhere you look you find something new to look at. The food doesn't fall behind.The fried jalapeño basket was delicious. There was so much juice in each jalapeño slice! I couldn't stop reaching for them. I got the award winning hot wings. They were smoky and paired well with their ranch. Unfortunately, I don't think I would order them again. Not because they were bad, but because I found something even better on the menu. My boyfriend let me have a taste of his catfish platter and I was jealous. Who would of known Champy's knew how to make some tasty catfish! The only criticism I have for this place is due to service and seating. We came here on a Friday night and we knew it was going to be a bit rowdy. But what we didn't know is that we were gonna get seated front row to the loud band playing. I recommend next time to ask if there is a preference in volume. I don't expect this place to be quiet, but I also don't expect for me to have to talk mouth to ear to the people at the same table as me.

Have been going to the location in Murfreesboro since we moved to area. However this location is much cleaner, newer and away different vibe. The whole place is bright, good atmosphere and the staff is welcoming. Both locations offer awesome food but this location wins in the overall feel and ambiance.

This place is like a beach bar in middle TN. I'm talking great fried seafood and frozen drinks with an outdoor bar. The service was excellent and quick.

Edited. Changing to 3 stars because the owner made it right by me. We started by walking in and having to wait a minute while 4 servers/hostesses stared at us waiting for us to talk first. Finally, we said, hey, we'd like a table for 2 and were promptly sat even though it felt like we had bugs coming out of our ears. Our server was fine. Our food was not. Award winning chicken wings weren't worth the plate they were served on. The flavor of the sauce was decent, along with the smoke but the actual meat was hard and rubbery. Mac and cheese was very boring. The fried chicken was so bland that I recommend going to kfc for an upgrade. The fries were super salty but I managed to survive, and the water tasted like chlorine. The best part about my meal was the mashed potatoes which isn't a good thing. I think the owner/manager noticed something off when we were leaving with plates full on the table and asked if everything was ok. We politely let her know our qualms, as this is a very hard conversation to have with someone, that their food just wasn't that good. We paid our bill and on the way out she said she "was going to take care of the bill but the waitress got to it first". She didn't offer this to us at the table, and she didn't offer to refund us. Sadly, she offered us a gift card which we couldn't accept (because we're moving out of Nashville in 2 days), and even if we weren't moving, we wouldn't have taken the gift card. The whole situation seemed so disingenuous and they were never going to cover our bill. I'm really disappointed and if you've made it this far in the review, I wouldn't go here. There's plenty of other flavorful chicken spots.

Of course we have to try out the newest restaurant in our town! We went on a Wednesday evening, which just happened to be their "GRAND OPENING" but luckily we didn't have to wait too long! We were seated and greeted immediately. We ordered drinks and pretty soon after we placed our food order. We would normally order an appetizer but it was 7:30 and we were looking to get in and out with the kids! I ordered the 2 piece white meat basket, my husband had the 3 piece dark meat plate, and our two kids split the 3 piece tender plate! All of the sides were very good. Between us all we got both macs(cheddar and gouda), slaw, green beans, and fries! I am kind of a slaw snob and their slaw was very good! It's always good to have a fun place near by that has good food and fun atmosphere. We will be back, hopefully on a warmer day to play outside!

BRAND NEW location in Smyrna, TN. Champy's never misses, but this new location SLAPS. Interior is insane with old school neon lighting and nostalgic beer signage and decor. Food is always incredible we got the iconic chicken tender platter. Champys sauce cannot go without. The CHUNK deal on Thursdays I do not think other Champy's does this but great deal for nugget size chicken tenders for 0.69c a piece!! Happy hours from 3-6pm. Great service and hostesses. Putt putt out front. Full bar. Can't go wrong!! Will be spending many evening and happy hours here.
