I really want to give this place 3 1/2 stars but Yelp doesn't do half stars so let's break it down. Food 5 stars. Service 5 stars. Ambiance 2 stars. This place just is not very clean but you can tell they are making an effort, maybe. My friend and I split a 2 piece catfish meal and asked to add a 2nd salad and they charged 8.99 which is insane because the salad bar is so basic. Regardless the fish was not fishy, greasy or dirty tasting, the onion rings and hush puppies were awesome.

Bottom-line: Recommended!We were seated right away and were waited on promptly. My wife ordered a shrimp po boy with grilled shrimp with the salad bar, I ordered fried catfish fillets with the salad bar. We helped ourselves to the salad bar and was very pleased with the selection. There were 30 or more items on the salad bar, the lettuce was fresh and all the other items for the salad were fresh also. There were several salad dressings to choose from, as well. Our food came out promptly and it was nice and hot. It had obviously been made to order. The catfish was delicious, as were the sides of hush puppies, and fried okra. We enjoyed our dinner at the Catfish Hut. The employees were friendly, and the service was great. This is a great little gem near the campgrounds around Enid Lake. If you go and see Richard, say thanks!

My husband says "hands down the best catfish I've ever had!" He better not tell my mother that clean, friendly, good food!

Always try to support local small businesses, 1st time to this restaurant, seated quickly , menu is huge for a small restaurant, salad bar was ok, but basic ! Food was brought relatively quickly , 20 min or so , what really didn't sit well was , the food was kind of thrown onto the plate , and the Texas toast was laid in the middle of the. Gravy on the mashed potatoes and gravy, so it was soggy and messy , Mashed potatoes and gravy was canned, not home made , which is not unusual nowadays, which is too bad , home made is a trademark and appreciated ! But hard to find !Taste of the food was , not what I expected! Given the ratings were really good! The food was kind of thrown all together on a paper plate ! This is a commercial restaurant, and they don't have to have a commercial dish washer ,and have real plates to serve food on ? I had a restaurant for 12 years, and would have been ashamed of the presentation of the dish ! And to pay the bill, was asked about the tip !! A tip is supposed to be earned, not mandatory ! It's supposed to be for exceptional service !! ( I did leave a tip in cash on table .Not because I felt it was earned , thats for sure , but it should not be a subject at the time of paying for the meal !! Hate to give a negative rating , but the reason we decided to have a meal with them , was because of the great ratings we saw ! Sorry to say , will not go back or recommend !!

This is the best catfish! We have been coming here for years and it is always great food!!! Catfish, baked potatoes & awesome salad bar. Cheeseburgers, hamburgers, milkshakes, & ice cream are also great! But, really, we go for the catfish because it is awesome , but they have so much more on the menu we have not tried. Everything we Have tried is great.The service is always friendly, kind and fast. The ambiance is an awesome laid back country style. We always enjoy &have for many years (3+ decades).

Not sure how this place stays open. I can't believe it's passed inspection. There were so many things wrong with this place. They have a salad bar. I wanted a salad. Too many flies for me to eat anything except something cooked. When I walked up to the salad bar, I saw 3 flies! The window sills had dead insects and dirt on them. A waitress had her small child there sitting at a table. My cooked food consisted of fried catfish, fried okra and baked potato. All were good. I have nothing bad to say about my food but I just can't get past the uncleanliness. Oh and if you plan to pay with credit card, prepare to pay the up charge for using it. Hubby did not see any signs about it. You just get it smacked on your bill.

Catfish is fresh and fried perfectly, seasoned fries are definitely to die for! Service was excellent and friendly. Although it can be difficult to spot, it is definitely a hidden gem of a restaurant.

Nice little country place very to Lake Enid. We've been a couple times and enjoyed each time . The catfish is good and fresh . The homemade fries are great and perfectly cooked . Our server was very nice and stayed on top of drinks . We will stop by again next summer when we are here camping.
