Catfish Galley

My father and I were in Jackson for a medical visit and decided to eat at Catfish Galley for lunch. I've seen it several times in Jackson, but have never stopped. The place was packed! We seated ourselves as soon as we walked in, was waited on super quick and our food was out before we knew it. Our waitress brought fresh hush puppies while we waited. We both ordered catfish from the lunch menu and it was cooked perfectly and was very reasonably priced. I loved the Catfish Galley!

Disappointing Experience at Catfish GalleyMy recent visit to Catfish Galley left much to be desired. Our group of 20 was met with disappointment upon arrival. We were turned away due to the understaffing issue, with only two servers and one cook available to handle the rush.Having traveled all the way from Dallas in search of delicious catfish and hush puppies, we were eager to indulge our taste buds. However, the staff's inability to accommodate our group meant that they missed out on a generous $200.00 tip.Fortunately, our spirits were not dampened for long as Catfish Cabin came to our rescue. Upon calling ahead, they assured us of their readiness to serve our large group with enthusiasm. With renewed hope, we set off for Catfish Cabin, hopeful for a more welcoming and satisfying dining experience.

Pam our waitress is the highlight of this organization. She is super friendly. I love her Southern colloquialisms that she says as she serve you. Not only does she provide good service but she makes you feel warm and welcome. All of that is accompanied by amazing catfish and tasty sides.

The food is amazing and cooked to order. The service is good and the employees are very nice and helpful. And its a wonderful atmosphere and a down home feel.

The food is always fresh and delicious. The pickled green tomatoes are perfect!!!The white beans are thick and rich plus very tasty! The spaghetti that I had left something to be desired.

Haven't been here in years but my son wanted to try it. The service was very slow and we were not getting our drinks refilled. The fried catfish was not that good. We didn't finish what we had because it was nowhere near as good as Catfish Cabin. It's hard to find good fried catfish. This is not the place. The fried okra was just ok but the bottom layer was sitting in grease so we didn't eat it all. The hush puppies were good. Almost as good as Catfish Cabin. Their baked potato was better because they were generous with the butter and cheese. Catfish Cabin is not. We sat under a large air conditioner vent or something that my son said looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the 1980s. I didn't look until I was finished eating. Kind of gross. This place was ok but overall not as good food as Catfish Cabin and not as nice an atmosphere. We won't ho back.

Catfish Galley is a wonderful restaurant with service with a smile. It has one of the best catfish and truly great "fixings" including french fries, baked potato and slaw. Love this place!

The food is always delicious and fresh especially the hush puppies. The waitresses are always friendly.

The food is amazing! I didn't think I would like catfish, but I do now. The atmosphere is nice and the service was great. They have a nice menu selection and the slaw and hush puppies are super!

Great food, great service, and best catfish around but them hush puppies though.....oh so good.
