Carol's Lakeview Restaurant

Hubby had 2x4 breakfast. He said it was great. He cleaned his plate and ate a bit of mine.I was so happy to see the hot turkey sandwich as one of the specials. This is my favorite dish at Carols. Salad bar came with it.The food came out quickly, and my dish was heavenly. Soft white bread topped with huge chunks of white meat turkey, drowned in rich, luscious gravy surrounding a mound of smooth, savory mashed potatoes in the center. Delicious! And I took half home for another meal.

(5/5 Stars)Had breakfast here with a couple of my cousins while staying in the **Cherokee Village Lake Community**, and this place definitely hit the spot. From the food to the service, it was an all-around great experience.Let's start with the **food**--it was really good! I ordered a bit of an odd combo for breakfast, but it worked out perfectly. I went with a half order of **biscuits with sausage gravy**, a **Reuben sandwich**, and a side of **hand-breaded fried okra**.The **Reuben** was excellent. Great flavor that stood on its own; I didn't even need the dressing that came on the side. When a sandwich is that good without extra sauce, you know they're doing it right. The **fried okra**? Amazing. It was so good I didn't even bother with ranch. Just straight-up okra goodness. And those **biscuits and gravy** were fantastic--just the right consistency. The biscuit was well-cooked with no overpowering baking powder taste (a pet peeve of mine). The only thing I felt it needed was a little bit of pepper, but once I added that, it was perfect.The **service** was also top-notch. I believe our server's name was **Renée**, and she was great--super friendly, had a great sense of humor, and was kind of cute too. It's always nice when your server makes the experience even better. She kept everything running smoothly, and we didn't feel rushed at all.As for the **pricing**, it's extremely reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. I left feeling more than satisfied without feeling like I overpaid. All in all, it's a solid spot to grab a bite, especially if you're in the Cherokee Village area. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town! Highly recommend.

It's a small local joint, exactly the type of restaurant you'd expect in an area like this. I say that with affection. The chicken fried steak was excellent (if you don't count the gravy). And when i think about the biscuit, I sigh longingly. HOWEVER: Service was curt and they asked if I wanted *American fries* with my meal. American fries? Their menu called them "french fries" so do you think this had anything to do with the way I look? Sketchy.

The food was phenomenal! Homemade soup was fantastic! Best catfish ever! And the homemade pie was scrumptious! Our server was exceptional! Such a great dining experience!

We love love love the plate lunches here! Home cooked flavorful food with a budget minded price! The service is great and the seating is comfortable.

Carols has been in business a long time. That speaks volumes to the fact that the food is always great. Real good service. Waitress was very attentive to our needs.

Every time I'm in Hardy, I go to Lakeview at least once if not twice breakfast lunch and dinner are all great and I love the salad bar.

Great food, great service, great price. We were in town visiting my husband's folks and took the family for breakfast. Loved it.

Great food with friendly service. Everything is delicious, but the pies are incredible.

Consistently good food and service. A staple in Cherokee Village. Rhubarb pies are amazing and you gotta try one!
