Great food in a throw back to what restaurants used to be 40+ years ago. Solid, real, and good are three descriptive terms I'd use to describe my food and my visit. My wife ordered a home cooked cheeseburger and onion rings and both were very good. I ordered two catfish filets and fries and it was excellent. If you are looking for a fancy place or a place with gimmick food, then this is not your place. If you want something real and delicious, then come to Carnell's. I'll be back!!!

what a hidden gem! you have got to try the cabbage rolls made by hand and unlike nothing you have had before! we followed that delicious appetizer with what could only be described as one of the best ground chuck cheeseburgers to be had, topped with all the fixens! you can sit in or outside . the staff will take care of you in both areas. this was a great surprise find on our day trip to louisville! don't miss this one for true diner flavors served up by the friendliest people!

We stopped by Carnell's on our way to an appointment in Louisville. The people were so friendly and the service was great! As first timers we had to try the cabbage rolls....they did not disappoint! The owner even brought us a complimentary order of their homemade cheese sticks! Wow!! Everything was delicious and you can't beat the fast friendly service!! We need more places like Carnell's!

Really good sweet tea! (Not every place can claim that). Also really good hamburgers made with fresh ground beef and not frozen patties. (We asked)Fried Cabbage rolls made on site are really good!Currently only doing take out or outdoor patio seating (hopefully that will change soon as lots of other places are doing dining inside)If you are passing through, don't overlook this option.

Three of us, while traveling cross country on motorcycles, stopped for lunch today at Carnell's. What a wonderful and unexpected pleasure it was!The staff is absolutely the best and the food is excellent in every way. The facility is spotless including the outdoor eating area, the dining room and even the toilet.The Executive Chef and his wife, the owners, are an absolute joy.This is a must visit small business!

Great food! We stopped by while in town for a softball tournament. The hamburger was delicious, the shrimp was good as well!
